Alright, I know everyone is going to say the school they root for is going to win the SOC next year. But lets all be honest and face facts the SOC I title will be making its way all the way back to Oak Hill with Slone and Co. That group will be seniors and even more explosive next season with what they have returning.

I hate to say it but I say that it is probably a race for second place next year. The Oaks better enjoy next year though, everyone else catches up after next year's group of outstanding seniors graduate.
I think SV probably the team the presents the most challenge. I'm pretty sure they return some very good players.

Yeah I don't know who would vote for ND. I see them or SV in second, but Oak Hill has this one.

i think the oaks will go deeper into the playoffs than they did this year, and could go all the way.

Symmes will finish a very strong second. I think they could make the playoffs again. Notre Dame on the other hand, will be lucky to defeat Green and a couple other teams on their schedule. I'd say the league will pan out like this:
1. Oak Hill
2. Symmes Valley
3. East
4. Green
5. Notre Dame

With the right coaching staff green has a good shot at being no2 or3 this next season. they need someone to take them to the next level.

Are you referring to the "frist" game of the playoffs?
Coach Webb is the best coach to ever coach symmes valley football, he has won more conference championships and made more playoff appearances than any other coach. And to second guess his schedule selection is stupid, apparently he knows who to play to be competitive and how to get playoff points. ;-)

There is no doubt, OAKS repeat, this group has a legitimate chance to make it Canton. The desire that these young men posess about football and winning can't be measured. It will be an exciting year no doubt! We pray for an injury free year!!!

If you are a student at SV and you are an indication of the way it is out there, then I would say that maybe it isn't football skills that is keeping anyone from playing at "the next level" maybe it's grammar?

Not meant as a knock on anyone else at SV. Just this Bozo.

Jackson High School (a much larger school than Symmes Valley) has had very few going on to play at the next level, no skill players, two legit Division I players in 25 years and they were linemen. a few linemen in Division II and junior college and some playing Division III which you do not get a scholarship for, very little of that has to do with the coach , its genetics. Players able to compete at the next level are few and far between.

Trust me coach Webb does every thing that he can to help get players to the next level, I know this first hand. I played under coach Webb and my brother and I both had a chance to play college ball and believe me coach Webb did everything in his power to get our names out there to college coaches.

If Notre Dame finishes 9-1, I'm pretty sure the world would explode by shear amazment that they had a winning record.

Not sure what Notre Dames schedule looks like this year. So I did it off last years, maybe someone can post this years for us.
Marion Catholic (1-9) ND won this last year and should be able to again

Greenup County (KY) (3-7) Very close game last year this one will be at home and the Titans return a lot
Africentric (2-8) I did forget about this game when I made the 9-1 prediction, anyone know if they are still on the schedule?
Bishop Rosecrans (8-2) ND lost this one by 13 last season and ND will be better this year than last. Lots of injuries, really hurt the Titans 2009 season.
South Gallia (3-7) Lost an ugly game by 2 last season, won’t happen again this year.
Manchester (0-10) Manchester is improving but hasn’t gotten there yet.

Oak Hill (10-0) The Oaks rolled last year and with Sloan and company back should pick up another win, however I beat coach Ashley and the Titans keep it closer then last season.
Green (2-8) ND will pick up the W over the Bobcats again this season

Symmes Valley (8-2) ND lost another close game here, and will look to pick up a close one this time around.
Sciotoville Community School (5-5) Rivalry!!!! ND showed what they could do last year in this one, and I look for them to pick it up again this year.

I think thats pretty fair, they could win 9, but I think they'll be more like 8-2 or 7-3, I could see them losing to Africentric, Greenup, and Oak Hill...I think they could beat Greenup, but I have a feeling that Greenup will be a little more settled in now that they have been in that system two years...I do think that they will make the playoffs though

As far as the rest of the Soc: I think Oak Hill will win it, but I have a bad feeling about them, they have all of that hype, and it seems like High School teams that are hyped up never live up to it...Symmes Valley will be competitive, but I think they will be a 6-4 or 5-5 team...I see a disappointing season for East, they are very very young...and I think Green could be the wildcard in all of this, they have a lot back, and a decent amount of talent if they got the right coach I could see them finishing second, but I doubt it will happen

If I'm not mistaken they have more golden footballs than any other area school, including burg. I'm not 100% sure about that, though. And don't forget about those two state banners in the gym. They went 6-4, 6-4, and 4-6 regular season last three seasons, but I know before that was pretty shady... i definitely would say a winning record is in the question. So at least I know minford wouldn't explode from our amazement. We would be surprised at 9-1 though.

Tobias posted on on another thread that ND will not be playing Bishop, Marion, and S. Gallia.
To be replaced with Fayettesville-Powell, North West, and Fairfield Christian. I believe that is correct.
Your 9-1 prognostication looks good.
Your Bud is on ice.
