I know South Point had two teams and there may have been another league that sent two. It makes sense....let as many kids play as possible.....if you have the numbers.

Coal Grove 8u girls looks like the best in district 11. Burg Black beat Portsmouth and advance to play Burg Orange for the right to try and beat Coal Grove twice for the championship......Good luck with that.

If you are talking about the 8u tournament in Symmes Valley, I hope none of the girls are league age 9. Anyway, that is the most impressive team that I have seen the entire year.

Well, make that a second group already in discussions of breaking away.....somewhere along the way it has become almost impossible to coach/teach kids fundemental ball and play as many games as possible....maybe I am wrong, but the more you have kids out of the house and on the field is a good thing...

Now the latest threat....beginning next year, every little league "volunteer" coach must sign a contract stating they will not coach a travel ball team. If this is allowed to happen, it could be the final nail in the little league coffin.

The district 11 7-8 girls machine pitch tournament ends on June 22nd. If anyone knows of any tournaments being held after that date please post. Thank you.

Notre Dame picked a bad time to have their worst game of the year. Having said that, congrats to South Gallia for staying poised when down by 9 points multiple times. ND just could not get out of their own way and get the run they needed.....always a turnover or missed shot when they had the chance ...

Notre Dame might be the most unselfish highschool team I have ever seen. Not sure what South Gallia has and can not make a prediction of what might happen but I sure have enjoyed watching ND play this season. They are very deep and will run players in and out the entire game and wear you down. Good ...

In bigger cities Catholic schools have an advantage. You have more Catholic families,more/better employment to afford the tution and a bigger alumni base for support. Having said that, locally it is a disadvantage. Though tution can be a burden at times it comes down to what is best for your childre...
