Sounds like congrats are in order.

Warren scored early and kept the pedal down in the first half. All four goals before the break. Waverly couldn't get much going. Warren coasted to the victory. The Duff kid is for real.

Webster played well the first time around, but will have to play even better to get the same result at Minford. We'll see if home field advantage for the Falcons will be enough to tip the scales in their favor.

With the turf giving advantage to the possession-style team, I expected SW to run away with this one. But Burg hung in there until late, I was impressed. Early on neither team could get any good looks at the goal. But in the 2nd half the pirates seemed to ware down, allowing SW to create more space ...

Looks like South Webster is starting very well out of the blocks this year.

If Hiland possesses the ball like they have in the past, Jarvis and the other Burg skill players up front will have very few touches. Like he has all season, I can see Jarvis having to pull back and support the defensive third. That suits him better anyway... his field awareness, skill set, and work...

Kickin it, Correct, it was an indirect (as I said). It was the correct call - dangerous play - therefore an indirect kick. But it should have been an easy Minford goal - one player taps the ball, the other buries it in the back of the net. They touched the ball and then dribbled to the corner flag. ...

Minford will need to step it up in this one. You can only go so far when you rely on 3 or 4 skill players. The entire team will need to play well... that's where good coaching comes in. They can't afford any more poor decisions like the indirect kick in the box against South Webster. Still scratchin...

It's ridiculous that Waverly has such a horrid field that they would give up home field advantage just so they have a worthy turf to play on. Dang.

This was an exciting match, but it was sloppy at times to watch. Definitely a draw, but the score should have been more like 5-5. Burg should have had 3 goals in the first 10 minutes, while Waverly should have had 3 goals in the LAST 10 minutes.

From what I've seen, Wheelersburg has more skill players, while SW is more athletic across the board and is very well coached. This one is at Webster, so we'll see if the Jeeps can defend their turf. I think we'll see a lot of goals in this one.

Looks like South Webster is competing well this year with the bigger schools, even though it's clearly a reloading year for them. I heard the final Waverly goal came with just a couple of minutes left...?

Looks like burg would have had a VERY difficult time making it out of SW and Hiland's district bracket.
