Re: Clay @ New Boston Glenwood 2.10
Okay Rocky, let's put this in a language easy to understand. I agree with Lane on some stuff, mainly because I coach in the district. Quite a few of the boys at Clay don't take the game seriously enough to work out and work on it in the off season like nearly all the good teams do. Lane is right abo...

Re: Clay varsity and jv
It is possible that 2 Freshmen will be starting JV. There are not many kids playing in that group anyway, plus Clay had one starter transfer to West. If a few more kids come out, it's a small chance that there will be a team.

Re: Division IV: Region 15
Is this the same Bendolf that transferred to Wheelersburg? If so, why move back? I agree with the comments about Portsmouth's defense........we do return 7 starters on defense from last year, and have added Andrew Bendolph at CB and Mason Jordan at S.......the Trojan defense should be faster than la...

Re: Porthsmouth Junior High Shootout - July 23-24
Clay has 1 team entered, (combination of 7th & 8th) but can't be there on Friday night. We definitely will be there on Saturday though. Has anyone heard when the meeting will be?

Re: Clay Panther basketball 2010-11
The excuse of playing other sports is hogwash! I second the thought that Waterdog had, especially about the partying. I have seen these boys growing up to where they are now, and a few are close to taking themselves out of consideration for important roles for the team(s). What really kills me is th...

Re: Eastern junior high boys tournament
Jake, first of all, no we don't film other teams games. Second, I don't care about ND's games, other than I wish them well in their tournament. Stump 353, I will say this though, it is an OHSAA rule without exception, Section 1.7; A student-athlete grades 7-8 may play a maximum 56 quarters plus 1 po...

Re: South Webster Junior High tournament
We lost 45-43 on a buzzer beater. We only had 6 players, and just ran out of gas.

Re: To all Clay family and friends
Thank you guys. I'm sorry to say that this wonderful 8th grade season has come to an end. Our remaining 6 players ran out of gas late to fall 45-43 to Oak Hill. I give the Oaks credit, they played very well shooting a very high percentage from the field, and the foul line. Now we have to concentrate...

To all Clay family and friends
First of all, I'm not much of a "poster", but I felt like this was something I wanted to do. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to coach the Junior High boys at Clay. For the most part, I've had a fantastic relationship with players and their families. I also have had a wonderful re...
