Amazing that since you asked this question, someone has disappeared from the thread. Also amazing that the same person joined the forum at the same time Green announced a new coach.......

Re: Round 2 Wheelersburg vs. Liberty Union at Jackson

I know it doesn't matter now that it is week 12, but just looking though the schedules I made a couple observations: Playoff Teams Played: Burg 3 (2-1 record), LU 1 (0-1 record) D-VI Teams Played: Burg 0, LU 4 I think Burg has played a harder schedule and that will help push them through to Week 13....

Good luck West. Hopefully both SOCII teams take care of business and meet again in week 13 with one of our local teams going to the final 4!!!!

Re: Game of Week #3 West vs. #2 Wheelersburg SOC Championship

Good post dazed.....Both teams are really even and it will come down to who executes better and makes the least mistakes. I have only seen 1 half of West football in person this year (2nd half @ Minford). From this half and a little online footage I watched, a few observations (IMHO): 1. Burg has mo...

Looks like Liberty Union and Bishop Ready both won. We'll see what happens with the standings once Joe Eitel gets updated.

Re: Should the West vs. Burg game be moved to Spartan Statium?

No way would this game be moved. I am sure West wants the home field advantage as much as Burg would if the game was here this year. If 2 of the SOC teams meet in the playoffs, I agree Valley or Jackson would be the proper place for it to happen. Unless the seating is renovated on the visitors side,...

I agree....the puddle stinks!!

Enjoy it while it lasts. Beating Ironton in week 9 may be enough to keep you there for another week, but the winner of Burg vs. West will be the #1 team for week 11.

Re: who will end up in the playoffs from the soc?

Burg and Minford should be no problem staying in the top 8 and possibly hosting. West can make it, but they need some help from the teams they have beaten or needs to beat Minford or Burg. If West wins this week and Portsmouth beats Ironton, West should be in even 9-1. ;-)

word has it that a burg student is suppose to run through the minford side with a shirt lowering minford......i hope he has a lot of nerve and doesnt expect to escape..... I seriously doubt knowing the school administration at Burg, they will not tolerate something like this. So don't expect it. I ...

Re: Game of the Week 7: Minford (6-0) vs. Wheelersburg (6-0)

Burg has 6 guys that will run the ball (B.Schankweiler, J.Schankweiler, White, Craigmiles, Walker and Hall). I know the Falcons have a good running game, but have 6 guys rotating through there is a huge luxury for the Burg.

Re: 3 SOC D2 teams in the playoffs?

It would be great to see 3 SOCII teams in the playoffs, but it is too early to be thinking about that quite yet. With these 3 teams all playing eachother, there will be a lot of 2nd level points gained by the winners. Very possible for all 3 to get in, but a good topic for weeks 8-10 when we know a ...

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Wheelersburg @ (0-1) South Point

SP has 3 really good backs (#3, 5 and 6). Their line looked great at times and then seemed to let up a little at times, but if they get it all together, they could easily finish the season very strong. Great job by both of the Schankwiler's on both sides of the ball. Once the very young offensive li...

I am not sure how many times he has mentioned alabamamike, but that was not the first time. I am sure at least 3-4 times going back to last year.
