Re: The future of grass fields

I heard that Piketon's field has some issues and parts of it are like walking on a sponge.

Re: 2019-2020 Enrollment snd Division Assignment

Hopefully waverly gets moved from region 16 with all of the Dayton and Cincinnati schools, absolutely no reason for them to be in that region If you look at the map, it does make sense for them to be in that region https://www.ohsaa.org/Portals/0/Sports/Football/2018/D4-RegionsMap.pdf . It really d...

Hopefully that doesn't happen again. It puts teams on their schedule in a tough spot to have to find games to fill those voids.

Re: wheelersburg and minford district semifinal

I think the difference this time will be the 7-8-9 hitters for Burg. They are swinging the bat with more confidence and all hit well against Meigs. Any production from the bottom of the lineup makes Burg extremely dangerous.

Re: pdt soprts

An error, but the sports writers at PDT have done a fantastic job over the past few years. They have covered more sports in the last few years than I can remember in recent times. It started with Ben Spicer, Kevin Colley and now Derrick Webb. Yes, there are occasional mistakes, but overall they have...

Re: D3 Post Season Seeding outlook SE

Burg has one of the best rosters, top to bottom, in the area regardless of division. Their 2 losses are both to out of state teams that would be D1 in Ohio. If you were talking about a team with 4-5 losses being seeded higher than a team with 1 loss, I could see the argument of going by record alone...

Re: Eight Rules Changes Approved in High School Soccer

I think they should stop the scoreboard at 2 minutes and let the officials on the field handle the end of the game. I am sure the clock will be off a couple seconds at least and more if there are subs under this new rule. Honestly subbing while you are ahead in a close game would allow you to regrou...

That may just be because of it being a supplemental position. I asked the Supt. today, he was non committal as to if the previous staff still wanted the job.
Pretty sure the previous coach is now living out of state.

I saw this on PDT website and thought it was impressive she broke all those records after such a short time in the sport.
