Time for a big school league south and east of Columbus
Time for a home for those schools south and east of Columbus that are too small for the OCC but at the same time too large for "MOST" of the other area leagues. I think a set-up like this could work. Teays Valley (453) Hamilton Township (344) Canal Winchester (465) Logan (450) Licking Heig...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy (1-0) @ River Valley (0-1)
Meigs
Point Pleasant
Jackson
Close/competitive rivalries that would create a perfect non-league schedule for Gallia Academy for years to come. Make it happen.

Bring back the SEOAL, and turn it into a 40 team super conference similar to the way the OCC is set-up. Re: "Hypothetical" new D1/D2 league south of Columbus
I think this is the league for the big schools south of Columbus if you could get everyone on the same page. I do agree that Lancaster would dominate in football to an extent, but it still might be the best option for the teams involved. Lancaster (729) Newark (659) Groveport Madison (656) Logan (50...

Re: Conference for Logan
Best case scenario for Logan is a new division of the MSL coming together that consists mostly of the larger/D2 MSL buckeye and LCL schools.
MSL Central
Teays Valley
Hamilton Township
Canal Winchester
Licking Heights
Watkins Memorial
Logan

Re: Gallia Academy 2016
If Point is back to AA, playing Gallia wouldn't hurt them in WV. Why is the series ending? This is a good game for both schools, and should be competitive again real soon.

Re: Gallia Academy 2016
Gallia Academy is now in an 8 team league. They have 3 available non-league games, and Meigs, River Valley, and Point Pleasant are basically the 3 biggest rivalry/money games that they could possibly ever schedule. I would look for the schedule to remain the same for quite a while.

Re: Belpre headed back to Ohio division?
Warren should be the 8th and final member of the Ohio division. Why would Belpre or any other Hocking school in their right mind move over to the Ohio to play Athens yearly in all sports?
Re: OVC in 2016 Thoughts and Predictions
Vegeta: Zane Trace is located on St.Rt.180 in Kinnikinnick, about 5 miles northeast of Chillicothe. Unioto is located very close to Pleasant Valley, which is a small community about 3 miles northwest of Chillicothe. Neither school is in the city limits and have their own school district. My fault, ...
Re: OVC in 2016 Thoughts and Predictions
Let'sGoPSU: Not only has open enrollment hurt Portsmouth's numbers, the city has 3 high schools. Chillicothe, with a similar population to Portsmouth (Chillicothe just under 22,000/ Portsmouth 20,226) has only 1 high school. If you combined the 3 schools in Portsmouth (which will never happen) PHS ...

Re: SCOL Expanding?
I'd like to see Jackson, Circleville, and Logan Elm be the three teams to join the SCOL five. I think Logan will eventually land somewhere with Teays Valley, Hamilton Township, and possibly Canal Winchester. The TVC would be super lame if they continue to block Warren from the 8th and final spot in ...

Re: SCOL Expanding?
Interesting... If that is true about the SCOL wanting to get rid of the Clinton County schools. I'm a bit skeptical about this for now. However, Wilmington and Clinton-Massie do play in the southwest district. The other SCOL schools could be looking to play more of a southeast district schedule sinc...

Re: Gallia Academy
Without a doubt River Valley and probably Meigs would bring a much much bigger gate than NY. River Valley for the reasons Orange and Brown said and Meigs because they've been playing since the mid 60's with only a few years off, kind of a rivalry, and the schools are very close Exactly, Meigs and R...

Re: Gallia Academy
I've never understood why Gallia and NY Hasn't played since seoal years? Nelsonville left the SEOAL. It's not hard to understand at all. Gallia had bigger games on the river at the time e.g. Meigs, Point Pleasant, Ironton, etc. Now that they are in the OVC, I would assume that Meigs, River Valley, ...

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
yJust a shame, is there any hope the SEOAL will ever be built up again. That may be the only option. The problem is that there aren't very many big schools in southeastern Ohio these days. Logan has already been rejected by the LCL, and I would imagine Jackson will get the same answer from the SCOL...

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
Locos As for visiting bands, they don't pay admission and the concessions all go to the Logan Band Boosters (not athletics) so that would be a wash. But like I said, it's really about a home gate. Not to split hairs, but I was going with band parents buying tickets at Logan to see their kids perfor...

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
The MSL schools are not going to travel to Jackson. Their only hope for a conference is Logan staying put and the SEOAL expanding, or the TVC finally accepting them and Warren. The latter scenario being a huge long shot. Jackson is in a tough spot.

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
The Buckeye division should cut ties from the MSL and form it's own independent league. Resurrect the COL with a big and small school division to form a 10 team conference.
