Re: FBS Football National Championships by Conference

Considering the Big10 original members have only won three undisputed (68,02,and 14) championships since 1966, that does not do much to bolster the rep of the BIG.

The telling stat is no Big 10(14) baseball championships in 52 years. Follow the weather in the south and west.

The Gulf South Conference has long been a stronghold for D II college football.
A couple years back the GSC had a Thursday night TV package. Entertaining wide open football for sure

Re: OSU's Mike Weber To Enter NFL Draft But Play In Rose Bowl

the buckeyes will certainly look a lot different next year with the losses of weber, dre'mont jones, nick bosa. and more than likely haskins. will the buckeyes have a mass exodus after urban retires, or can coach ryan day rally the troops to go for it next year. myself I have a bad feeling about it...

Re: 12-18 Wheelersburg vs Waverly

From afar, Burg 72 Waverly 48. The Pirates have the athletes to control the tempo and thus control the Tiger's helter skelter scheme. If Waverly cannot run or make free throws the Burg will roll. I get that Burg is the better team but to win by that much against arguably the second best team in the...

I honestly am surprised that potential NFL draftees Weber, Jones, and Haskins have announced they will be bowling.

OSU's Mike Weber To Enter NFL Draft But Play In Rose Bowl

From Eleven Warriors: The redshirt junior running back announced Sunday night on Twitter that he will enter the 2019 NFL draft following Ohio State's season finale against Washington in Pasadena on Jan. 1. Weber is the second player still on the team to announce that he will enter the draft despite ...

Re: Boca Raton Bowl: UAB vs. Northern Illinois

I feel you kind of got to pull for UAB as they are only in their second season of competition after the football program was terminated after the 2014 season. The Blazers did benefit from the framework of the prior program still being somewhat in place, but bowl eligibility in year two of competitio...

DRE'MONT JONES WILL ENTER THE 2019 DRAFT, BUT PLANS TO PLAY IN THE ROSE BOWL

Hurrah for Mr. Jones showing team loyalty by apparently choosing to play in the Rose Bowl before turning pro. Just hope his NFL career is not shattered by injury. From Eleven Warriors: Dre'Mont Jones will be on the field one last time for the Buckeyes in Pasedena as the Buckeye defensive tackle anno...

Re: Portsmouth Bypass

I remember the Portsmouth bypass idea being kicked around back in the late 1950's just after the Atomic plant boom. Going from the Tri State to Waverly we always used the Rosemount Hill Road from US 52 to US 23. Will the new road be open from Wheelersburg to Minford only or will it be open all the w...

Buckeyes Haskins and Jordan make only the third team. Another snub of Haskins by the media or is it evidence that other college football programs recruit and develop "elite" athletes also?

Re: ROSE BOWL OR OTHERWISE, THEE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES VS. WHO ??????????????

I had the good fortune to be able to attend the 1969 Rose Bowl game, a 27-16 Ohio State victory. The play of the game that turned the tide for the Buckeyes was when Jack Tatum planted OJ Simpson:

Haskins is the best passer, Tua is the best athlete. Murray is the best combination of Haskins and Tua's strengths. The ceremony always pays homage to the past as well as honoring the present. The sad part of it is the social justice warriors have unleashed their disapproval of Mr. Murray: http://re...

Re: Big Ten Source: League targeting OU, Texas

I think the "power 5" schools need to separate themselves from the rest of FBS. Let them have their own championship and give the rest a chance to play for something. I think this is the direction that big time college football wants to be heading. The big schools would have done it s few years ago...

BRIAN HARTLINE HIRED AS OHIO STATE'S FULL-TIME WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

Good news for Mr. Hartline. I give him credit for getting the OSU receiving corps to play up to their potential allowing Haskins to post gaudy stats. Of course having Haskins at QB by extension help the receivers develop also. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2018/12/100471/brian-h...

How is a couple of decommits burning bridges? Some of these kids will still come to OSU. And if they dont, oh well. The recruiting class will still be very strong. Day is a great recruiter. The de-commits are not the bridges. The bridges are to Ohio high school coaches and players, who may have fel...

Re: Big Ten Source: League targeting OU, Texas

A few thoughts. Money, always follow the money. Big Ten, despite being perceived as inferior in product, leads the way in media revenue. Possibly the first dominos to fall towards forming four sixteen team "super conferences". Each with two divisions, paving the way to a defacto eight team college f...
