I hope they hire a coach that wants to get the program back on track. I’d start with someone who can keep the best players @ Belpre & attempt to revive the peewee program.chrishilton91 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 11:21 am Nope...job is still posted. They elimanted his teaching job so he resigned as coach.

Re: Warren football 2022
I figure Warren will have a decent offense. QB Taylor and RB Williams are great. The WR transfer from Williamstown is pretty good as well and they have a couple more receivers that are solid. I imagine the concern would be the O-Line & Defense. IMO, They will win more games than they lose this y...

I heard you guys have an incoming freshman basketball player that’s the, “real deal?” Or is he an incoming 8th grader?

Re: Belpre 2022 Football
Win playoff games? Have you any idea how many playoff games we have won? How many has Belpre won? I can tell you, about the same as the number of times they have beaten Trimble in this century. So, "cough cough" if we want advice on how to win playoff games it won't be from you or anyone ...

Re: Washington County Football 2022
I like what Fort Frye is doing. They are scheduling up. I truly think most small school teams should do that if they think they will have a good chance of competing for regional and state titles. Realistically, Fort Frye should be thinking about playing in the regionals every year & their schedu...

Re: Belpre 2022 Football
Clearly your feelings have been hurt by getting some good butt whippings from the Tomcats. I feel bad for you. But if you want the butt whippings to end you'll just need to get your team better instead of crying about it on here. Great teams are made in the off season. The Tomcats dedicate themselv...

Re: Belpre 2022 Football
We like having Belpre on the schedule. It gives our Jay Vee's and freshman a lot of playing time. Of course we keep the starters in until we score 50 or so, but then we let everyone play after that. We usually get close to 50 by halftime. Oh yeah Thimble loves to bully bad teams. They especially lo...

Re: Belpre 2022 Football
I’d get rid of the whole staff predicated on two pieces of information. Their defense yielded 47.2 points per game and their offense averaged 20.2 points per game. Horrible difference. Belpre’s records vs TVC Hocking teams since 2010: Wahama: 5-6 Federal Hocking: 7-4 Eastern Meigs: 7-6 South Gallia...

Re: Best All-Around Athlete (Post - 2000)
I would have to agree with all of those athletes, but I don’t know much about Chadwell and Dixon; however, I played in the TVC alumni tourney against him about 10 years ago and he was a good shooter and decently quick. In my opinion, Jed Stephen was probably the best mentioned (other than Burrow) on...

Re: Trey Robertson Class of 2022
I believe the transfer portal is log-jamming High School recruiting at all levels of college athletics. Let’s say your Coach Ben Howlett at West Liberty (I’m using a top D2 program as an example) and you are looking for a lead guard. You have a D1 transfer in the portal with two years of eligibility...

Re: Waverly 46 Heath 45 OT D2 Regional Final ...
Congrats to Waverly! As far as lob plays are concerned, I’m not sure why more teams don’t use designed/half-court set lob plays (assuming they have the personnel to do so). Waverly runs it to perfection. Both regional games they executed at least two per game. Btw there is an art to throwing a lob…....

Re: REGIONAL FINAL: Waverly vs Heath
I believe this will be a grit it out, defensive type of game. I expect Waverly to come out with the same intensity as they did against McClain, as they play with that underdog mentality. Defensive execution will be paramount. Also, the deeper in the tourney, the importance of half court execution be...

Pfloyd, I’m a little late to the game lol. It’s such great news that your tests have come back with positive results. I’ll pray that you will have a wonderful year, full of family, fun, and of course; SE Ohio basketball. I look forward to reading your, “napkins stats.” Type on, my brother.

Re: District Championship …Trimble vs Western. Updates
Congrats to the Indians and congrats to the Tomcats for a stellar regular season. I hate to say it but Trimble’s district final exit was a product of playing a subpar regular season schedule. Western clearly had the tougher schedule. A prime example can be found at Waverly HS. Their AD and head coa...

Re: SEO Player of the Year
No brainer….Trey Robertson (Waverly). He’s the best player on arguably the best team is SE Ohio. NCAA D2, possibly D1 (preferred walk-on). Brayden Sallee (Warren) has Blake Guffey’s game but is 3 to 4 inches taller. He will play small college ball somewhere next year. Id say he’s the second best pla...

Re: Biggest GYMs in SEO and would you pay 25 for all day convo pass
I personally like Jackson’s Facility, adequate seating, plentiful parking, unique layout, and very well maintained. Piketon’s Gym is spacious. Logan’s is the run of the mill (I call it a Columbus-Style Gym). If you go to Pickerington/Gahanna/Dublin you’ll see large bleachers on each side and a colle...

Re: Waverly 19-4 vs Warren 17-6 District Semi Saturday 02/26 1:00pm
The warriors blew past New Lex 56-29 after suffering a close set back to them early in the season, very well could be the two best teams in SE Ohio facing off against each other in the DII district semis and should be a dandy. This Warren team isn't built for comebacks so if the warriors are wantin...
