Re: All Eyes Are On Texas...Football In The Fall Or Spring? Ohio????

There is not going to be a switch. What are they going to do screw spring sports twice in 6 months?

Re: All Eyes Are On Texas...Football In The Fall Or Spring? Ohio????

Look on the OHSAA twitter page. It says it right on there.
OHSFCA said they did not make a proposal. All rumors. The statement is also on the OHSFCA twitter.

If somebody knows how to paste it on here do it because I can't figure it out.

They will not cost spring sports another season. You can't take two seasons away from kids that bust their ass. Football and soccer can just take their licks like the spring sports did if they are not allowed to play.

Again, Texas has not cancelled it.

New Mexico is planning on playing football in February and March. Spring sports April thru early June. Of course, they can do that there with the weather.

Texas has not cancelled HS football yet. Some superintendent was running his jaws about it.

Re: Loss Of Income From Football

True, almost all schools lose money on football. A lot of expense.
Basketball is really the only money maker. More home games and less expense.

Re: Finally the kids can practice on Monday!

There is NO reason that students are not back in the classroom full in the fall. There is NO reason that the kids don't play fall sports. This OVERREACTION screwed millions of kids out of spring sports, graduations, proms, etc. Enough is Enough! If a kid gets the virus, he will be fine. It is just l...

I go to youth baseball tournaments every weekend. People sitting beside each other and enjoying life. There is no reason not to have crowds in the fall. PERIOD

There will be fall sports.
There will be fans in the stands.
Maybe somewhat limited, but there will be fans.
They screwed the kids in the spring.
They are not going to do it again.

Re: Make Legion Ball Great Again

OHSAA waved all rules for this summer.
No player limit or days of contact because HS baseball got screwed out of their season this spring.
It goes all the way until August 31, 2020.

Re: HS Baseball in the Fall, HS Football in the Spring

Personally, being a high school baseball coach, I don't see a problem with it. As long as baseball still plays our 27 game season. You would have to make a decision on it at least by July 1. State tournament in November? That is fine. Plenty of turf fields around today.

You drank the Kool Aid and they scared you too!
No vaccine for a year. I wonder if it will be 40% effective like the flu shot.
Not one kid has died from this virus in Ohio. Numerous have died from the flu.
Have fun hiding under your bed!

Re: OHSAA Update April 8

Ohio has met the guidelines to start Phase 1 at anytime. The governor could drop the Stay at Home Order and begin Phase 1 like Monday. He won't do it though because he has overreacted to this fiasco from Day 1. 11.7 million Ohioans held hostage for 425 deaths. 10% of the infected in Ohio are in pris...
