Re: Ironton Football

Only home games will be broadcast live. Not certain if that means all home games or not.

Re: Division V rankings and early speculation

I couldn't name an AD @ Ironton that wasn't a coach in some capacity in one sport or another. The question is if the AD can be equitable and balanced with the money and privileges to all teams in the system regardless if he coaches or not. Mike Burcham is in the Ohio sports Hall of Fame as an AD, co...

Re: Division V rankings and early speculation

I’m sure he will. But who cares? Can anyone name the burgs ad or Jackson or Minford or waverly? ADs are about scheduling games, and make ups, and taking care of money and security. They honestly don’t have time for much more than that. I still can’t believe they are going to let a coach do it. Hide...

Re: Division V rankings and early speculation

I hope not jolly. I think we have a keeper. tiger fans have been around long enough not to put much stock in preseason polls. we feel coach Pendleton is the real deal. and now he is our ad. so somebody is seeing big things from him. it's exciting to be excited. Trevon in place as AD has nothing at ...

Re: Division V rankings and early speculation

I'll take a stab at it fbnut..."we got cheated!" No. They'll be taking shots at Pendleton and how he's a failure. That's what they always do. Last year they didn't expect to win and were, for the first time, taking positives from the game. Now, in the second year, that will all change bac...

Hope so. The outlook is good for the Tigers too. A return to the competitive contests of a few years ago would be a big positive for everyone involved.

Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook

Ironic hearing Wheelersburg posters talk about transfers. You can definitely sense the doubt creeping into their minds. Coach Pendleton and his staff Doesn’t have to recruit kids. Their program is doing it for them. When you have a kid like Carrico that’s the highest rated recruit probably ever fro...

Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook

The goal of the players and staff is to not lose to anyone. The team mentioned just happens to be first up. The last few years were lopsided not because of lack of will by players but lack of discipline and hard work. The kids have always been there but it requires leadership and energy. Today there...

Gage Salyers will have a big year. He's putting the work in and is dedicated to his team's success.

the feller still has 2 years to grow to pack muscle on. and then he'll hit college. I didn't say reid would play defensive end, though he may. remember this lad has 2 more years to grow before he graduates high school. again, I'm not trying to say he is near this polished yet. but those are a combi...

Re: SEOPS Players of the Week

I cast my vote for #60 Ironton Fighting Tigers lineman, Brady Rowe. Brady has played the entire season with a displaced screw, unattached screw from ACL surgery last year. Brady has played every game and both sides of the ball most of the time. He goes out and quietly does the job week after week. H...

Re: Contacting Ironton Fighting TigerClan.

They had a rep from the Ironton Fighting TigerClan on the fighting tiger broadcast two games ago. I think McKnight was his last name. Scotty Russell was a fill-in sportscaster for the web game on iHeartRadio, and did a great job, I grew up around the corner from him on Jeannine street back then. I’...

Unless they've changed things I believe it's for the rest of the ejected game plus the entire next game.

Re: 2018 Ironton Fighting Tigers The Pendleton Era

Final observation. As it concerns week one vs Wheelersburg. Ironton has added new talent? That is the only thing I can logically come up with that would indicate much deviation from the former staffs results vs Wheelersburg because it is clear, without prejudice or nuance, that Ironton does NOT hav...
