I don't really understand the process that these AD's took at Meigs and RV. If I was an AD, if I'm firing my head coach then I have a pretty good idea of who I'm replacing them with. Sure, you'll take all the applicants in the world and consider them, but I'd have my list of 2-3 guys that would get ...

How much is jealousy involved in the hate towards "NFL" Mike Bartrum? I don't know him all that well so I can't really comment a whole lot on the subject.

Man I'm dying to know who gets the Meigs and RV jobs.

I'm willing to give people second chances. I know I've needed some throughout my life and wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Also, Fonzie - if you're talking about Howie that would be pretty cool to see.

I know of 3 people who have applied. All three have been listed on this topic at some point. No they are not Bartrum, Wolfe Sr or Jr, or Caldwell (Howie nor Jeff). Not sure the time frame for hiring, but I would think they would hire sooner than later. Looks like Drummond has a legit shot at it.

In all seriousness, it sure would be something to see Wolfe Jr. as a head coach. That would be all kinds of entertaining.

Is the Sheets guy still in the school system? I think he taught science possibly. I think he used to coach at Chesapeake. Could he try to get the job?

Who is the AD? Does the AD actually have a say in who they hire for the head coaching jobs?

I don't see anyone on the current staff back. Could one of the Gallia Academy assistants come over to RV?

I'd offer it to Loveday's dad and see if you could get them to come back to the good guys. I think they live in the country school system area. Note: I have no idea who Loveday's dad even is or if he could coach basketball haha

Who knows who will apply for this job. I'd imagine the only people who will apply will be people who are looking to land their first varsity job.

I wouldn't exactly call the team from this year "up and coming". More like not very good and likely more of the same moving forward unless the kids start putting in the work and they get a stand up guy who is respected by the kids, but also builds relationships with them.

It's definitely true. I read in the paper that the basketball coach did indeed resign. On to the next one....and in 12-24 months it'll happen again.

In another thread it was mentioned that the Bidwell River Valley boys basketball job is once again open. Any takers on going through that revolving door next?

My question is how does being the self proclaimed greatest linemen ever at RV qualify someone to have much of an opinion on who should be a basketball coach anywhere? And why does it make it ok for that person to maliciously discredit an obvious great coaching mind that may want the job. Back in th...
