Re: Is there a correlation between having "older players" and success
Wheelersburg has a freshman parking lot at school. Yes it makes a huge difference. Look how much most kids mature during their Freshman and Sophomore years of college

Re: 2018 Ironton @ Wheelersburg Football
Probably would be easier if Tough asked his brother or counted them himself at practice

Re: 2018 Ironton @ Wheelersburg Football
Aren't you allowed one transfer home without penalty of sitting out?

Re: 2018 SOC 2 Football Offseason Talk and Outlook
A couple of the middle school kids mentioned here to my knowledge have never lost to Wheelersburg in football or basketball. In fact the scores I've seen have been very one sided wins against Wheelersburg. So loosing or the threat of loosing isn't it. I thought it was funny that one of the kids men...

Re: 2018 SOC 2 Football Offseason Talk and Outlook
If they're good they'll find room for them. As true as this statement is, this stuff is exactly why amateur sports are going down the crapper fast. 12 to 15 year olds being treated like primadonnas, parents living through their kids, and schools pushing the limits of what is ethical/unethical. I wa...

Re: 2018 SOC 2 Football Offseason Talk and Outlook
Was told a few middle school players were transferring in open enrollment.
With the more penalties for transferring at the high school level players are tranferring earlier. Rules seem to be much more relaxed in middle school as far as transferring.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know he had moved.
Also rumors of several players at the middle school level transfering open enrollment. Are those true?

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
Ironton is a program rich in tradition that has been down. Ironton fans have to realize things will never be the same as they were, and setting lofty expections is just setting your coach up for failure. Ironton can still field good teams, but as been said the declining population has the enrollment...

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
This is all so comical. TOUGH tried to pin his identity on another guy, but it's obvious that he is either Pendelton or his brother. Which in itself is totally unprofessional. Playing football at any level doesn't make you a coach. Playing for a great coach doesn't make you a coach. Pendelton was an...

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
Grizzle has a good thing going at Greenup Fred Ray turning the job down was confusing. Fairview is going through very difficult times. Pendleton sounds like he has good qualities. The lack of experience at a place like Ironton could be a problem. I expect him to energize the program short term as ha...
