Holes in 2021 schedules

I am trying to build a master schedule for area schools this year and there are a few programs I don't have their complete slates. Would anyone be able to provide some info for the following? Miller (Wks. 1, 5) Millersport (Wks. 1, 3-6, 9) Harvest Prep (Wk. 3) West Muskingum (Wk. 3) Symmes Valley (W...

Re: Fight songs

Logan Elm (Not sure if the music is a copy of any other school): Fight for Logan Elm, Fight to win with all your might. Go Braves! Fight with courage for that ol' Red and White. Rah! Rah! Rah! Rah! Alma Mater flame, Fight to keep it burning bright. So cheer those Braves, On with honor, Victory for L...

Re: Coaching Vacancies

they shouldn't. Why shouldn't they last? I don't want this thread to be a rumor mill, but to be a list--with VERIFIED reports--of coaches leaving and their replacements. There is a difference. And I hope that if someone decides to bad mouth a departing regime, grill a district for a certain coachin...

Coaching Vacancies

Any confirmation of area schools looking for new heads of their football programs? Keyword being confirmation, let's stick with that and avoid rumors. Perhaps keep this thread open whenever new coaches are confirmed hired.

The switch from ties to OT

Would anyone happen to remember when the OHSAA switched from ties to the overtime format? I reached out to the OHSAA and was told the rule wasn't implemented until 1972 to only decide postseason games, which was the same year the playoff format was introduced into Ohio HS football. The belief is the...

Re: Jackson leaving the FAC

I hope jackson does stay. I'm all for getting logan into the league and adding another team from the northern part of the conference. I hear circleville is unhappy in the misdstate league. Would be nice to get to 8. This is a strong league in all sports. Seems to many schools base everything on foo...

90-0...in a college game

Not sure who all is aware of this result from Saturday in D3 football:

John Carroll 90
Capital 0

Not a typo. And this was Capital's homecoming game. Relevant in some ways with a pair of Gallia Academy grads as well as some from the MVL.

Reactions?

Re: Logan Elm (1-2) @ Teays Valley (2-1)

TV, already a walking MASH unit entering last Friday, was hit by a freight train that was Canal Winchester. While it didn't look like there were any further injuries sustained, the Vikes were cursed with a really bad case of butterfingers. It would be surprising if this carried over Friday and retur...

Re: School Football Program Prices, How Much At Your School?

I would understand the pricing if there was some incentive (different content other than visitor rosters in each copy, hidden signature of HC for a prize/free food, etc.) when justifying the numbers.

Up until the district's bond issue passed last year, there was a time I was surprised to see Green still in functionality because of its size and struggles.

I haven't visited or seen any pictures since the grant was received, but Spartan Stadium could be a candidate. Nostalgia aside, it felt second-rate to watch a game at the stadium in recent years.

With practices starting around the state, are there any updates regarding area schools looking to scale back to 8-man?

Re: The future of grass fields

Northwest needed the new facilities no matter how many wins they get plus maybe it will help in getting a quality coach and kids will want to come out and play I would rather see Northwest actually reconfigure their layout to actually have bleachers on both sides of the field and a larger press box...

Re: SEO Football Coach, Records, Titles, and Playoff History

Rod Smith coached through the 2003 season. Tim Hale was originally hired from outside to be his successor before the 2004 season, but never coached and left for the same position (coaching-wise) at Springfield Greenon. Ron Stephens was promoted shortly thereafter and started in 2004. Prior to Smith ...
