Re: Portsmouth Football Coach
Is Kalb a teacher?
I think the money is a big part of it. Football staffs are talked about alot on this site. But really outside of a teacher or retiree, who can be off in time to be at the field everyday from August through November? That's a big commitment.

Re: SOC-DIVISION 2
So a kid that lives out 522 in Franklin frurnace but closer to burg should have to go to and play for green? That is stupid. Let's hinder a kid academically and athletically because he lives in another school district! No with open enrollment they should be able to go to any school they want as lon...

Re: SOC-DIVISION 2
Count the boys that live in franklin furnace township that go to burg And count how many of those kids have gone to Wheelersburg well before hey started playing pee wee. As it has been stated only 2 kids that played on this years team came after Jr High. What does it matter when they came? Basicall...

Re: Portsmouth Football Coach
People that just show up when you're winning aren't true fans. They are band wagoners. Wanna protest something then protest the NFL, these are high school kids.

Re: Portsmouth Football Coach
When this subject comes up they compare the prospect of football to the turnaround in basketball. 3 or 4 decent basketball players and some roll players can make a basketball team. That's not the case in football. This year the football team wasn't that talented, especially after Parker got hurt. Ne...

Re: 8th Grade Jr. High Basketball
I was told Burg also had a new kid from Portsmouth that wasn't there in 7th grade. Relievable source I believe. Word on the street is that they have people out in the community trying hard to make that a reality. Maybe that's what was meant by my source. He was a credible guy. I'll make sure I get ...

Re: Who will take over in Portsmouth
I know the Pendleton's well.
They have a good thing going where they are and they are very close to a former Trojan coach. They aren't interested in that mess imo.

Re: Portsmouth Football Coach
Geez. Talk about a dumpster fire. They had a group of parents start a different peewee team this year because they didn't agree with how things were done. They tried to start it the year before. They have little to nothing at the middle school level and obviously no support at the high school level....

They had an excellent team this year. State championship was a great accomplishment. They will still be good, but nothing like this year especially defensively

Yes the 2 from West are the older girl's younger sisters. She worked with their dad and got them to follow her to NBOnthefence wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:42 am I think they actually now have 2 girls from west and two girls from east. Re: 2018 SOC 2 OUTLOOK?
Burg and the rest doesn't matter That's a great attitude Wheelersburg returns skill on offense, but looses basically all the line and all the defense. They won't be near as good next year. LOL, How many times do you hear this... This Year's Burg Team was the most deepest Team that I have ever seen ...

Re: New Boston Glenwood Lady Tigers
Doesn't surprise me. Didn’t East's best player just transfer to NB? This is the same coach that after she left West for NB, had the older Oiler girl that graduated two years ago living at her house to get her and her two younger sisters eligible until their dad found an apartment so they wouldn't ha...

Re: Top 7th Grade Players
I worry about the Collins kid. His success so far at a young age has come because he is miles bigger than every other kid. He's really going to have to work on his game to remain a force. It also affects the players around him. A lot of those guards don't know how to make proper post entries. They ...
