Re: OVC 2021
Saw the score, surprised, the Ironton pitcher is the real deal. Congrats to the trojans!

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Lucky enough to get to Symmes Valley for the weekend. Saw several good games Friday/Saturday until the rain came. Burg, Raceland and Ironton were the best three teams, Burg only played one game, roughed up a good Hilliard Darby team with timely hitting and a bomb that went at least 300 ft.. Ironton,...
Re: FAC 2021
I ask about Jackson earlier in the season, I saw the pitcher this summer and am surprised so far with their record. She must be hurt, no way these teams I have seen beat her. Just asking, anyone from Jackson care to comment?

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Areukidinme, Burg will never play one of those smaller schools. Stopped by on way home from work last night watched couple of innings of Burg/Northwest. Burg hit a couple of Bombs first couple of innings but they still need consistency from their bats, defense is coming along. From the SOC II level ...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Schedule says Spring Valley, Valley of Thunder (Columbus teams), Kentucky schools (Ashland, Boyle County, Raceland). They will get tested, we want them in the tournament.

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Ouch, Longball I have followed these kids for several years (from a distance), I remember when they were freshman, saw several of their games and was very impressed. I was not questioning their ability but I do question when the bell rings at tournament time if they will respond. You must be a paren...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
In a game like last night defense is important and there will be other games down the road where it could make a big difference. Don't know the girls well but through word of mouth I know expectations for this senior class is high. Last night infield was shaky in first inning, maybe a little nervous...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Burg, was looking for test and they got one, Lewis County pitcher was very good. Very few well hit balls, except for a blast from the sophomore lefthander. Burg made a couple of easy plays look difficult in the first inning and fell behind but chipped away for a win. Big crowd and very good game for...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Yep, that is what I said, Gallia would be competitive in SOC II, they are a division 2 team. They have two players on the roster who have committed to colleges for softball. I believe they will face the trojans and a couple of other local teams. If I am wrong, won't be the first time. I travel a lot...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
Well, I don't want to debate the dictionary but "bringing it" didnt mean they were fireballers. They were more than adequate high school pitchers of what I have seen over the years in the SOC, with a couple of exceptions. It was more than batting practice and they actually could get the ba...

Re: Wheelersburg softball 2021
I heard they were playing, thought I would stop by after work to see if all this talk was true. Let me tell you, they played a solid gallia academy team with three good high school pitchers who could bring the ball and get it over the plate, didnt walk many because the burg hit everything they threw...

Re: 2/5/21 Waverly @ Wheelersburg
Waverly had the best player on the floor, played really good defense and the burg offense was just so rushed all evening. Ran the same play all evening in the middle and occasionally got the ball to the big guy, who by the way plays his tail off without a lot of recognition, for a layup. The burg's ...

Re: 2/5/21 Waverly @ Wheelersburg
Very good game, the Robertson kid dominated. Burg played tight, never got into any offense flow, I found it strange that Miller spent the fourth quarter in the corner someone else controlling the ball. Oh well, the kids on the live stream do very well.

Re: Portsmouth West - 3rd annual Mashing Melanoma Softball Super Scrimmage 2020 - March 21st
This type of event will not happen this year. Too many players, parents and fans at one place and at least half of the crowd would not wear a mask. No chance!

Re: This forum has went from life support to dead
I agree Captain, the forum is on life support, I have been reading a great deal of articles on the kids and college commitments. Local newspaper has run several good articles that I thought would spark some interest. COVID has everybody in a different frame of mind, maybe we can get this rolling aft...

Re: Ironton softball 2021
Burg and Ironton for district dominance this year. Can the Ironton pitcher stop the Burg offense? Will be an instant classic.
