Pierce is one of the best players I have seen at the HS level in a long time. She is top-notch at every position. Where is she going to college? She has to be getting offers from everywhere.

Waterford lost in final to Athens in 3 sets. Waterford won set 1 but 25-15 but lost 2 and 3. Volleyball is such a crazy game of momentum. Waterford is as good as anyone for stretches but has a hard time keeping it together for a whole game. Athens is very solid with good back row play.

Waterford beat Eastern in Athens tourney in two quick sets. Rematch on the 31st at Waterford. Ball, Lang, Kern all good hitters up front and Taylor one of the better staters in the area. Waterford will be tough for anyone to beat in the Hocking.

I honestly thought that Waterford outplayed Wellington, but, unfortunately Waterford didn't outshoot Wellington. Huge rebounding disadvantage couldn't be overcome and poor shooting when they had open looks did them in. Great season - too bad they couldn't extend it another game. Several good players...

Lay Cats punch their ticket for the third straight year. Not sure how many consecutive wins Waterford has now in the TVC, but I think it is over 50 straight. Dominating performance again - what an incredible run. And the whole team is back next year as there are no seniors on the active team.

Waterford held Anderson to 6 points. I think he had 1 FG and 4 FTs. Waterford rotated several people on Anderson with each guarding him for about 2 minutes at a time. For Waterford the Pottmeyer kid is really stepping up. I think if these 2 teams played 10 times that each would win 5 times.

Absolute worst officiating (both ways) that I have seen in a long time. There have been football games with less contact than this game tonight.

Waterford won by about 15. Game tied at half and Waterford ran away with it in the 3rd. Trimble just couldn't buy a bucket in 3Q. Lots of turnovers both ways. I can't imagine either coach is very satisfied with this one.

Waterford has now lost to Div 2 West Branch by 3 and Div 3 Alexander by 3 on a buzzer beater. Definitely have stepped up the competition this year. Has to help them come tournament time.

FF would be up 8 and Cats would cut it to 4. FF would be up 10 and Cats would cut it to 5. Waterford just couldn't get over the hump. FF started game on 10-2 run and margin stayed close to that throughout despite some Waterford "mini" runs. Good ball game but FF simply shot the ball better...
