Re: 2018/19 Portsmouth Trojans

Good start for the Trojans. So great to see my nephew Amare Johnson in the starting lineup. Best of luck to Coach Collins and the Trojans this season, I hope to catch a couple of games this season.

Re: Rio Shootout 6/18

Yep basically the same kids, we just kept our best two out there the entire game vs Huntington. Yes, we are blessed with speed and quickness, but the kids will have to learn how to play the game. Despite our struggles it was a good day to put in the work. I'm glad we made it down. Always love the So...

Re: Rio Shootout 6/18

Great athletes ? Really ? Might be a couple but in general it's bad basketball with a handful of athletes. It's pretty bad almost everywhere. Sorry but the truth hurts. Good luck all ! It’s summer....things aren’t flowing like a regional final. Maybe my “great” should’ve been very good. All I know ...

Re: Wheelersburg (2) vs Piketon (1). Thoughts?

Great game! Congrats to Evan Legg and coaching staff and especially to the courageous Redstreaks team that competed every second of the game. I thought the Burg's ability to close quarters was the key to victory which was an 6-0 run at the end of 2nd and a 7-0 stretch towards the end of the 3rd was ...

Best of luck to the Redstreaks. I hope to make it down for the game. Always great to see Evan Legg on the sidelines. It would also be nice to see Coach Hafer as I remember him from his playing days and particularly as a young lad playing in The Lisath Summer League back in the day!

Dayton Northridge Looking for Scrimmage

I'm looking for an away scrimmage, preferably on weekend (Friday evenings ok) we plan to do an overnight trip. So I would like to get one in on Friday evening and then play somewhere close on Saturday morning. We were 7-16 last season, we played a lot of underclassmen and will still be very young wi...

1978 Craig Tubbs 19 foot shot from the corner in the District Final to beat Washington Court House and send the Trojans in to the Regionals and eventually winning the 1978 Class AA State Championship. Coach Dick Hopkins called the play "Jacobs Ladder" :) ....what a fitting name for a game winner......
