Jackson was handed 4 yellow cards; Waverly collected 1 yellow card. Jackson played a man down the whole second half, not sure why the refs allowed them to sub on a double yellow with under 2 minutes in the first half. A big physical game nonetheless.

I agree that a 2 1/2 hour bus ride is too long for high school athletes for just a sectional game. Waverly can look on the bright side now they only have a 20-25 minute bus ride for districts. I totally agree smurray. Quality over quantity and placement over power. That needs to be Waverly's mind set in this years tournament.

This will be a close one. Waverly 2-1! Jackson's keeper is pretty good but Waverly gets a lot of shots off. Shots W-20 J-6.

Waverly's second went into the side net, only because the gust of wind pushed it goal side instead of it heading to the post or out of bounds. It was pretty remarkable. I thought this game was a great one though. Two very good programs that played their butts off last night.

To the one that said they are D-3. I'm assuming you're referring to the SVC which is far from the truth. The SVC has more D-2 Schools than the SOC. Which is why Waverly struggles come tournament time with D-2 schools. Waverly should move to the SVC it will be a lot better fit in all sports for them.
