Re: Sports seasons and Covid safeguards
Yea and just like I said happened with basketball, everyone got tired of following these stupid guidelines because they make no sense at all. I agree it’s all for show.. none of these rules are following the science and not one is actually protecting anyone. It’s mostly nonsense.

Re: Sports seasons and Covid safeguards
Why would mound conferences have to be 6 feet apart when basketball huddles weren’t 6 feet apart? I’m so sick of politics..

Re: Sports seasons and Covid safeguards
Just watched Napoleon coaches and players all hugging each other celebrating their state championship over VC... but no homerun celebrations at the plate during softball.. outside?? Give me a break. Teams just need to do it. Also been watching college softball and they’re not following any crazy rul...

Re: Sports seasons and Covid safeguards
Yea they just need to do what’s happening in basketball right now, stop complying to these crazy rules. It’s all political and people are starting to finally realize how draconian these rules or guidelines really are. If you can high five your friend at practice and pack the team in a dugout then yo...

Re: This forum has went from life support to dead
Irontons pitcher will shutdown the best. Don’t count the Lady Tigers out all it takes is 1 run to win. Well look who it is! Shutdown the best? I’m not so sure. The “best” teams usually have plenty of kids who see good pitching year round. How does the rest of Irontons team look? They lost a lot las...

Re: Playoff games capacity??
Exactly and don’t get me wrong, if you have a big family, think that’s great they are able to come watch. It just seems to me like the HS kids are the only ones who have to make sacrifices with all of this.. it’s sad because they will never get this time back.

Re: Playoff games capacity??
I understand that.. just saying there are HS seniors who would love to do something normal and attend a game but aren’t able to get a ticket. Instead of giving one person 26, allow of few of those to be available to students starting with seniors. Just my opinion.

Playoff games capacity??
So what happened to limited capacity? Thought the kids were only getting 4 tickets or so.. Saw a live stream today and the gym was packed.. also pictures of some kids had 14-15 family members present. Not exaggerating. If aunts, uncles, cousins, little siblings, boyfriends and girlfriends, your neig...

Re: Perspective
I feel so bad for kids who haven't gotten to play this year due to covid restrictions. We have played but so much has been taken away from the kids. Summer ball, scrimmages and regular season non league games to name a few. We did get to have a homecoming, (after being postponed more times than I c...

Re: Perspective
Perspective? I mean I know they were trying to come up with something to keep moving forward and I do commend for that, but let’s just take a small look at some of the head scratchers: 1. No shaking hands before and after but we can play an entire game draped all over each other 2. Refs in football...

Spectators and live stream
Are they really going to limit spectators at softball games this spring? How many people actually go anyways? most people bring their own chairs or stand along the fence. Also, are the schools going to live stream like they did for other sports? I’m guessing not..

He was very kind to my daughter when she moved to Burg, always had positive things to say. Gone way too soon. Praying for his family and friends.

Re: Play ball,2021.
If you go to the CDC website and search total number is US deaths in 2019 and 2020, there were no more deaths in 2020 than in 2019. Heart disease related deaths decreased for the first time in 30+ years. Amazing..

I'm guessing it won't happen this year, too many teams, not "safe".

So what are the chances of a season at this point? I can't see springs sports being affected if winter (indoor) sports have been allowed to go on... but nothing surprises me anymore.
