Re: Scoring 1000 points-Is it that big of deal anymore?

Still not a lot of kids doing it, so still an impressive feat. Not many kids average double figures for 3+ years. Why do we have to try and diminish kids’ accomplishments?

Re: Meigs (14-2) @ Marietta (15-2)

First, possibly "Marietta people" respect the game and respect their opponents, especially when their opponent is 14-2. - Currently, Marietta's opponents have the 5th best winning percentage of the top 9 D-II Southeast teams. By next Friday, Marietta will likely rank third-highest in OWP ...

Re: Warren 57 Marietta 53 a final

Great recap and think you captured the atmosphere and magnitude of the game well. What an environment! Sutton was essentially full by the start of Q2 of the JV game. Probably the largest crowd I've ever seen at a Freshman game. Came down to the adjustments that the Warren staff made and basically f...

Re: Twin State League Boys Hoops

Please post his shooting statistics for the year — overall field goal percentage and 3-point field goals. When he gets hot he is electric. And we can compare to other top players in the district. Please remember you made the assertion and now it’s fair to have you defend it. I don’t have all their ...

Re: Warren @ Marietta 1/26

Great win, thought Kendall was a big non-factor tonight. Warren had an excellent plan for him. Doubled down on him when he caught it in the post, and made him dribble through a ton of traffic when he was on the perimeter and wanted to drive. They really got out to him well and didn’t let him shoot ...

Re: Warren @ Marietta 1/26

Man, Warren has the greatest flopper I’ve ever seen, #3. Little guy is about 4’10 and weighs 45lbs, and it appears his only role is to give Stadelman a breather and fall on the ground. Dude just stop it....know the game...he gets position that most can't and is a pest ...good defender that most opp...

Re: Warren @ Marietta 1/26

I think what we all expected so far, a total rock fight. Taylor and Stadelman have done everything for Warren, Taylor especially came to play. Taylor still not guarding Kendall, but Warren is doubling him every time he catches it. Lupardas picked up 2 quick ones guarding Kendall, but honestly that k...

Re: Warren @ Marietta 1/26

Going to be a great Friday night in Marietta! This is one where you arrive by halftime of the freshman game, going to be a tremendous environment in Sutton. So many points to discuss: - Warren did a solid job on Kendall the first time but he still got his, will they change the strategy. Still very i...

Re: Logan football

Logan has fallen a LONG way. Don’t understand how they can underperform the way they do with the facilities, tradition, program support, etc they have. Any challenge or obstacle they have is also true for basically any other team in SEO. The community support definitely isn't what it used to be. A ...

Can’t wait to hear all the ways people explain how this isn’t actually a good win for Marietta. Definitely one of the most athletic teams the Tiger will face all year. Kendall finished with 34 I believe.

Re: Twin State League Boys Hoops

It was a 7 point game in the 4th when Chapman fouled out for Point wasn’t it? I mean, yes, but I promise you he had nothing to do with any success PP had. He played so little because every time he was in the game he was just hacking people. Made really no impact on the game, their other guys played...

Really sloppy game with no rhythm, which is exactly what Point wanted. Just one of those you have to grind out, but Marietta will have a much tougher test on Saturday.

Re: Twin State League Boys Hoops

GREAT win for the Tigers tonight! Austin Gardner is a heck of a basketball coach and he has done a great job changing the culture at Marietta. Curious if anyone got full stats and can post them here? Marietta 13 8 12 16 -- 49 Warren. 10 8 16 10 -- 44 Z. Wittekind with 22, Kendall 17 for Marietta, S...

Re: Twin State League Boys Hoops

Maybe I’m just hung up on last season’s game at Point Pleasant when the Tigers had a chance to win the league outright and lost by around 10 points. I realize it’s not the same Point team and usually it’s not the same Marietta. Got to guard against a “post Warren win let down.” Point’s best player ...
