Re: N W VS BURG
How many times are the same people going to type “Northwest was better but the refs screwed us!” Wheelersburg athletics is superior in every way to Northwest. You lost one year. Let them have this one without making excuses. Maybe Northwest got more calls because Lintz was able to drive past anyone...

Re: N W VS BURG
Watching the Wheelersburg coaches complain about the officiating makes it EASY to understand why the players do the same. What a bad look for the school that was. I would RELISH the opportunity to watch the game film with that staff so they could see why they really lost the game. Unfortunately, th...

Re: N W VS BURG
Biggest issue is undoubtedly streaming. Many would rather fire up the YouTube app on their TV over driving 60-90 minutes one way, paying $5 to park, another $10-$50 in tickets depending on family size, plus more in food, gas, etc.

Re: N W VS BURG
Congrats to the Mohawks, and Coach Scarberry. By far the best team. Its refreshing to see a team WITH homegrown talent , win out over move ins with other teams. Makes it sweeter when you think what would the scores be with home grown with these other teams. Kudos to the Mohawks, looked strong, quic...

Re: North Adams vs Minford Round 2
North Adams really struggled with Ashton Layne’s size and athleticism. Minford has an older, stronger version of him. Will need to find a way to contain or they’ll be in trouble.

Re: SOC sweeps OVC
In the words of Herm Edwards, “You play to win the game.” Come Convo time it was the SOC teams advancing while the OVC teams are going home. You can argue all day, but the fact is the SOC will have 4 teams playing for a district title and the OVC will have none. Hats off, play better next year.

I would be very surprised if Terry is in Ironton and not South Bend next winter. Hope I’m wrong.

Re: Collins out @ Rock Hill
Shugg would be a good choice if he wants it. Rock Hill guy, been coaching a while, would bring new energy. If he is a teacher that would be a slam dunk.

The press release made it sound like he went into the water when the kids scattered and got stuck in the mud. Terrible.

You can recruit as Ironton. Won’t be realistic because the Tiger Clan apartments are much nicer in the game but that’s Ok.

Portsmouth played in a great league and challenged themselves out of conference. Northwest can’t really say either. I’ll go with Portsmouth.

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought Africentric had some kind of selection process for getting into school. Not everyone who wants to go can go, so they pick the kids who get to go. Ironton, or any school who accepts open enrollment, cannot pick and choose which ones they let in. There are rules tha...

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Ironton does bring it talent. Ironton doesn’t get to artificially deflate enrollment by only admitting talent.
