Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Only thing Meigs has going for them is their new turf field that they do not deserve. Gallia will win, mainly because they actually know how to. 2-8 vs 9-3, I know who I’m picking. I’m curious as to why they don’t deserve it…. Sounds like pure jealousy that Gallipolis plays in a sewer swamp while p...

Re: All Time Jackson Ironmen Team
I don’t know many of the positions but I think Humphreys or Boggs at QB, and Shane and Cade Wolford as running backs.

Re: Oak Hill Declines TVC Offer: Remains in SOC
If OH football can’t compete in the SOC2 and the SOC won’t put them back into SOC1 (where they were a bad fit too), I really only see one option, since the TVC bridge is now burnt. Go the route of South Webster and become a non-football school. Focus on building up your other sports and start a push...
Re: 2024 FAC
FAC will be decided Monday and Tuesday. Miami Trace and Jackson have a two game series. Jackson is 8-0 in league play and the Panthers are 7-1!

Re: Oak Hill Declines TVC Offer: Remains in SOC
I know Oak Hill is down in football, but I’m sure there are some athletes in the building. I wonder if any will transfer out instead of not playing? I get loyalty, but boys only get 4 years to play football.

Re: Coaching Openings
Best job in Jackson County is the one at Hope Haven. No one in their right mind would apply for anything within Jackson City Schools Jackson is an excellent place to coach. Look at the tenures of their coaches , very little turnover. Jackson’s job has been filled by the varsity assistant. Program c...

Re: Best Lineman 2024?
Miami Trace soph. (Jr to be in 2024) Adam Guthrie is a 6'7" offensive tackle with really good feet. Plays basketball which I am sure will attract some interest from coaches that like multi sport athletes. Plays in the FAC Yep. Huge kid with a frame that college coaches will love to build on. G...

Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.
Barring a game-changing transfer, I’ll guess 7-3, losses against Ironton, Jackson, and HP. And I’d never ever pick against them in the playoffs. That’s the mark of a first class program.

Re: *Breaking* TVC Accepts Oak Hill (OH BOE to Vote)
Idk anything about it being simple or how it’s done. I just know the coaches went out of their way to make an independent schedule and find other schools but the administration wouldn’t do their part. Whatever the easiest option is, that’s what I expect the administration to do and it’s reflected w...

Re: River Valley Job
RV might be a good school with mostly good people in charge, but you’re crazy if you think this won’t affect getting coaches to move in, not knowing what the ultimate fallout will be from the wrestling scandal and whatever this football issue might be. River Valley sports are going to have to be led...

Re: Vinton County 2024
Lets hire someone who will stay and build for the long term......Make it a career not a job... Who’s your suggestion then? Somebody internal I assume. Games? Phillips? Mendes? Garth Fry? Long? Hire? Games should be the front runner. Phillips would be a good hire too. My son told me has heard Fry is...

Re: Vinton County 2024
You can only get better by playing better teams-- Lets play Jackson --instead of Trimble. I think Jackson’s varsity schedule is full through 2027. But they should absolutely play JV or JH against each other. Big gates, and VC could see his close they are to getting where jackson is without worrying...

Re: 3/3 Minford v Fairland
Keyser is such a mismatch for teams. His body control is so smooth for a kid his height. He seems like he’d be a matchup nightmare for just about anyone in the area. Does Fairland have anyone who’s a good matchup for him?
