Re: D-II Convo Final - New Lex vs. Warren
South60 did a livestream of this one. Looked like it was a good game overall.

Re: D-II Convo Final - New Lex vs. Warren
Marietta scored the vast majority of its points “in the paint.” And in another post you stated New Lex has one of the best front courts in the area, which I don’t understand. [/quote] My apologies for using the wrong term for guard play; I said front court instead of backcourt. I should have went ba...

Re: D-II Convo Final - New Lex vs. Warren
New Lex loses the battle on the boards nearly every game. Didn’t they get doubled up against Marietta? Their strength is in their guard play and shooting. As another poster mentioned, they also can be a deadly 3 point shooting team. Their guards can get to the hole at will against anyone and do not ...

Re: Who wins the MVL 2024
BIG Tri Valley Sheridan John Glenn Philo Morgan River View TV brings back a ton of experience and talent. Theirs to lose. Sheridan will be toughest competition because they are the best coached team in the league. Don’t expect them to go runner up quietly. John Glenn is the divider between the upper...

Re: MVL Football
Why was RV accepted over Cambridge? I think the MVL offers a lot of comfortability within its teams. You're going to get a good schedule vs really competitive teams most years. Travel is pretty solid. All but football is going to make the tournament and now with 6-7 divisions in most sports you hav...

Re: MVL Football
Funny. MVL talk moved off the TSL thread and we are back to talking about the TSL and TVC. That's fine, but still funny, I don't see any MVL schools jumping ship. Just a few schools looking at what is best for them as an individual school instead of what is best for the MVL. That is just not the wa...

Re: 3/4 Marietta v New Lexington
The NL front court is one of the best in the league and area. Both Stephens and Hanson have started since their 9th grade and rarely come off the floor. Both are dynamic and can score from anywhere. Add in the shooting ability of the surrounding crew makes them a dangerous out. Their weaknesses are ...

Re: MVL Football
Why not just add Warren Marietta Fort Frye It would keep Morgan in the mvl small. It would start some awesome rivalries. I thought the TSL was thriving? According to their last minutes, there’s no new interest. At this time they are just meeting at Western Sizzlin to get lunch. For them to truly th...

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
With RV and Coshocton exploring to leave i'm sure its really only up to the IVC if they want them. Geographically and culturally and everything you need it makes sense, only a few trips that go over an hour, plus some schools as neighbors. I just think the first round when they were looking the IVC...

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
I don't think the MVL will be able to attract any schools from the LCL even though LV and Lakewood are particularly attractive. Cambridge and Buckeye Trail are obvious choices. I am not familiar with the latter's current league. Fairfield Union is a wild card as they currently play some MVL teams b...

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
What's the rumor? Is the IVC expanding or are they looking west? I agree, the MVL definitely isn't going anywhere, that's just ridiculous. RV and Coshocton leave, there are plenty of schools that would jump to replace them. No question that there are schools that would jump to join. Cambridge is th...

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
Are coshocton and RV looking to leave the MVL? It's a only a rumor as far as I know. Neither one has had much success in the MVL. Not many will shed a tear. I don't see the MVL breaking up after all these years. What's the rumor? Is the IVC expanding or are they looking west? I agree, the MVL defin...

Still no decision? You’d think they would move on this to let the new coach get going on offseason prep.

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
TVC should ask Morgan, Crooksville, and New Lex to join in with them if they are looking to expand.
After Coshocton and RV leave together, it’s only a matter of time until the other teams start looking elsewhere as the smalls do not want to go back to 1 unified league.

Re: Morgan joining the Twin State League? Other expansion?
What are the odds any of these schools actually make the move? It seems like since the TSL was formed, there is constantly talk about schools being "interested" but nothing ever comes from it. Morgan. PHS. Cambridge. Now Crooksville and 70% of the TVC? I am obviously for expansion but I g...

Re: Zanesville job
Brownrigg is a very smart coach. Leaving what he has built at West M for Zanesville would not be a smart decision. Zanesville certainly is a bigger school, but roster wise West has more guys out. West facilities are all newer and continuing to improve. Competition wise the small school MVL teams are...

Re: GA football
Sounds like a dumpster fire. How many coaches go back to their Alma mater and leave after just 2 years?? Not just any 2 years but 2 successful years. I understand the appeal of a bigger school, but very rarely if ever does a coach get to go home then leave soon after. Red flags for anyone thinking a...
