Re: New Logan High School Football Field and Bill Sauer Field
It's the Logan Athletic Dept. going too PC. I'd say football pays most of the bills. Logan won the All Sports Trophy but if you asked most Logan fans, they identify with football. Kind of like Ohio State. No matter how good the other sports teams are, it's still a football school. Still, I'm not goi...

What happened to Miller Aren't they still in the county? They had a pretty good team a few years ago.

Re: New Logan High School Football Field and Bill Sauer Field
Does anyone know if Zanesville and Logan are still on each other's schedule after this year? I sure hope so. I'd love to see Zanesville's new field on a Friday night. Plus, Z-town is only about forty minutes from my house.

Re: An Early Look at the SEOAL: The 2008 Logan Chieftains
I think one of the best things about this year's team is the depth we have. There are a lot of quality players at several positions so no one should get tired. This team is fast but it will also wear some people out in the third and fourth quarters. The real test is Lancaster. If the Chiefs get by t...

Re: An Early Look at the SEOAL: The 2008 Logan Chieftains
I still say this year's O-line will be better than last. 4 starters returning and they are bigger and faster this time around. I know they lost a lot of key people last year but this is the best Logan team man-for-man since 2000. Those boys in the junior class just don't know how to lose.

If they want to see a bunch of 8 year olds run agility drills, that picture was in the Logan Daily yesterday. They could save precious fuel money and just subscribe!

Re: Why is Logan having camp at an old warehouse?
Wish I did have one of the seats with a back. I got some seats that they opened up after all the original season tickets sold out. Still good. You know the old cliche, there isn't a bad seat in the house. I think they sold 942 season tickets. I'll be there every Friday night they have a home game. T...

Re: Why is Logan having camp at an old warehouse?
It should be a great facility. I think the whole town is psyched up about it. My wife's family all went to Logan and they have mixed feelings about losing Bill Sauer Field. My son plays and he misses Bill Sauer Field already but is looking forward to getting on the new field. I didn't graduate from ...

Re: Why is Logan having camp at an old warehouse?
From what I understand, the entire Logan High School campus is considered an active construction site. Preseason meeting with athletes and parents was supposed to be at the field but was moved to the old school cafeteria instead because the field was not released. The middle school, where camp used ...

Re: New Logan High School Football Field and Bill Sauer Field
Logan has sold well over 900 season tickets! That's just crazy!!!!!!!!!! I can't even imagine the atmosphere there that first game.

Re: New Logan High School Football Field and Bill Sauer Field
I wonder if those who have reserved parking will get to park at the stadium from the start? That would be a little unfair to charge for parking and then not deliver.

Re: New Logan High School Football Field and Bill Sauer Field
It's a great time for HS football in Southeastern Ohio! Who could imagine all these new facilties just a few years ago. I hope we get some good tailgating going on when the parking gets ironed out. I've heard that for the first few games they may have to shuttle folks to the new stadium from an off-...

Re: whos the better qb
In talking about surrounding athletes, let's not lose sight of the contribution of the offensive line. Can't speak much for Ryan Cheek's line; Lancaster is always big and physical. But remember Logan had all new starters at these positions last year and didn't do too bad. This year, all except one i...

Re: whos the better qb
OK, OK. What I was trying to say was he trusts his legs more than his arm right now. When he played as a freshman, he wouldn't wait a lot of times for things to develop. If something wasn't open right away, he broke to the outside and ran with it. Lots of long touchdown runs in broken play fashion. ...

Re: whos the better qb
When I've seen Pat play, he can leave most would-be tacklers grabbing for thin air. He has a burst of speed and kind of reminds me of Troy Smith in his earlier days. He will need to learn to be patient in the pocket but the potential is awsome.
