Ideally it is. But can be called late if needed.Raiderball wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 7:28 pm I always thought infield fly was called early, like when the ball was at or near its highest point. Several times this year it wasn't called until after the pop up was caught.

Re: Possible Week 1 Ref Boycott?
One problem is the OHSAA basically forcing everyone to use Arbiter, and they raised their rates. I'm sure the OHSAA is prolly getting kickbacks from Ariter. But it would be great if the schools and officials didn't have to use them. And cheaper for the schools. Yeah would be great if schools went b...

Re: Ohio’s High School Transfer Portal Is Now Open
Ohio transfer laws are governed by the ORC, the OHSAA has very little they can do to regulate things. But as usual Stateline sports does a hack job. Please, offer a solution instead of piling on without knowing facts.

Re: D3 district championship games
I would imagine there would be some conflict with school's graduations if games were moved to the weekend. Anyone know if the 4 teams have already had their commencements? No, two graduations Friday evening, games will be played at noon and 4:00 on Friday. I have researched and Meigs's and Fairland...

Re: Infield fly question
Infield Fly can be called at anytime. Ideally early, but at anytime. Kids and coaches need to understand situations and know how to play those situations.

Re: D3 district championship games
I think I just saw Noah's Ark go by the house. Yes, rain all evening at least. Even though the games are at the V. A., you don't want to see District Championship games played in the rain. 100% agree if it gets too bad, reschedule for saturday or sunday. would get a lot more fans there that way too...

Tonight is the deadline, so any game after tonight will not count towards the drawling, so Thursday and Friday games don't matter. Not true, tonight is the deadline for the bio's to be posted. The voting deadline is Friday night at 11:59, and most wait to vote until after the friday games. There wi...

Re: Super Sectionals
I will add, the only thing missing in the SE that is used in the rest of the Districts is the "choice" factor. Central District , for example, seed their teams, however they get a choice on the bracket where they want to go. This allows a team to decide to look ahead and figure what Distr...
Re: D2 Top 5
Looks like MT is 11-2, WCH is 12-4, Sheridan is 16-3 and Jackson is 15-2. Seems like the game Friday between Jackson and Miami Trace could be for the 1 seed Tonight is the deadline, so any game after tonight will not count towards the drawling, so Thursday and Friday games don't matter. Not true, t...

Re: Let's Have a Debate - Is this open recruiting
Absolutely perfectly within the rules. And those rules are basically set by the Ohio State Legislature. Nothing in that post is incorrect. The reason those three schools are mentioned is because they are not ineligible if they come from those schools. The OHSAA cannot have rules that go against Stat...

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
I feel to blame for updating in the wrong thread 😁…but dumb that it was stickied. Why should SE district refs get to do a regional final? How’s it mess up any integrity? Does it really matter if a ref from Washington CH does a game with a team from Marietta? I mean if it was smurray doing the game ...

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
Was weird to see SE crew on this game. I thought they did well but game was called tight. Western game nothing was called. Would be nice to reach a consistency. Western game was a different game and both were called consistently. That’s good officiating. Not every game is played the same way, as lo...

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
I never once said the game was determined by the officials. Heath could’ve won by twenty and I’d say the same thing. Everyone replying about the job the officials did is missing my point. Regardless of outcome, it is unethical for a Southeast District crew to be doing that game. They should’ve not ...

That charge was a great call, 100% correct call, regardless of when and where in a game. Same with the offensive foul a few minutes later on the Mc Clain player.

Re: What facility in SEO can play the most games at once?
Well Jackson can play 4 games at once, 5 if you used the Jr. High.
Logan has 2 gyms in the high school, the Katie, and what 4 courts in the Chieftian Center, for 7 games at one time.
I do not think any other community can do that many.

Re: DIV - Southeast District Tournament
Seems like we did get everyone in a room and vote not that long ago. And when everyone had to drive to Jackson on a Sunday to vote, they wanted it to be done on-line. Funny, how people forget that when people were in person there were head scratching votes as well. Also, no district votes in person...

Re: DIV - Southeast District Tournament
It's a simple fix Don't play d2 d3 d4 all together and expect to have a good crew calling the game. More games, more Refs needed, which means ones who shouldn't be doing tournament games get tournament games. Not a mystery on why some refs were out of sorts on how they call the game. Not to mention...
