Re: Is Portsmouth really dropping Burg?

Yes, for 2017 season Portsmouth dropped Wheelersburg for River Valley. PHS wants nothing to do with Wheelersburg b/c( according to my Portsmouth sources,) PHS admin is upset with W'burg for recruiting their QB and moving him into W'burg right before the start of the school year. Yea I guess we offe...

Re: Valley 17 Minford 7

For all you Minford folks calling for a change of offense the past 4 years. This is wat you get the same play out of the same formation when a team runs a 5-2 against a supposed spread team. They had no respect for the QB running or throwing nor any of the receivers. It was just hand the ball to Com...

Re: Best and Worst Stadiums in Southeastern Ohio

I feel like almost every SOC II school has an excellent stadium for high school football. Valley started it all with the turf and no fence. Burg and Waverly are both awesome places. Minford has the grass field and stands nearly on the field. Only outlier is West, feel like you need binoculars for a ...

8th grade: Minford 30
Oak HIll 0

Minford 8th grade has about 13 players and they all can play. Small class but huge on talent.

Re: WK6 West (2-3) @ Minford (4-1)

It begins and ends upfront in this one. This will be the most physical team Minford has faced since Rock Hill. Minford has made some personnel changes up front on both sides of the ball that has helped. As a poster said earlier the corners and safeties will need to come up and hit someone Friday nig...

Re: WEEK8 ATHENS @ WELLSTON

In a couple years Wellston will win a game like that. Just need to be in some of those "been there done that" situations a few times in order to win a crazy game. Athens has obviously had some big moment situations at end of games and played better; we should have never let that couple sco...

Re: WEEK8 ATHENS @ WELLSTON

In a game between two former SEOAL members who ran from competition, the pick is Athens....... BIG  The weak beats the weaker ! ;-) Anything can happen Paladin on any given Friday. Heck, last week the "slow" team beat the "big and bad" Chiefs. Those are your quotes lol not ...

Re: Week 8: Logan (6-1) at St. Francis De Sales (6-1)

You are drunk on shine moon. Only two teams have scored 20+ points on DeSales this year and I don't think Logan will be the third team to do so.

Re: WEEK 8: Jackson (6-1) @ Meigs (5-2)

Jackson is not some huge favorite here and Meigs is not some big underdog either. Just the opposite in fact, both teams pretty close statistically and a home game for Meigs puts this close to even. Anyone who thinks Meigs can't win needs to go no farther back than 6 months ago in a first round sect...

Re: Week 8: Logan (6-1) at St. Francis De Sales (6-1)

I still have yet to see the Paladin scouting report which makes this game difficult to pick not knowing too much about DeSales. Only thing we know for certain according to Paladin is that Logan is "big and bad". I assume he has chosen to share his report only with the coaching staff and no...

Picked the Spartans above, but word through the grapevine is NY coaches and players have embraced their role as the spoiler for these last three games and look forward to the challenge of dashing everyone's TVC Ohio hopes.

Still picking the Spartans.

Re: Week 8: Zane Trace (7-0) @ Piketon (4-3)

Zane Trace wins, they are having one of those seasons of destiny. Don't see them having a let down tonight.

Unless an injury derails them I see a 10-0 finish.

No idea what you are talking about noreply, what did I miss? You have a hard time saying anything about football or the topic at hand, very hard to follow your thought process.

When is the last time Wellston beat Athens, anyone know right off hand?

Re: WEEK8 ATHENS @ WELLSTON

Back to football, ESPN and the people who donated their time and resources did a fine job. Smashmouth mentality this week. Remember there are consequences for 82 points in a league match-up and all the talking and smirking from a year ago. Play angry, play disciplined, play with emotion. Treat this ...

Re: WEEK 8: Jackson (6-1) @ Meigs (5-2)

Jackson has issues handling success and maintaining focus across the board, could be closer than a lot of people think. Wet football, grass field, Meigs officials, it could be tougher than some think. Meigs is solid. Issues with success and focus ??? They've won 19 outa last 20 games. What are you ...
