Re: All Time SEO Leading Scorers List

Excellent job compiling a list this extensive. Always interesting in alot of ways when browsing through these. Personally what's most obvious anymore are the number of players achieving the 1000 point barrier, and the frequency in which it is occurring. Increasing regular season to 22 games, less re...

Re: What school was Buckskin? (Waterloo Wonders Read)

Correct Rosscoresident, most of the Buckskin kids ended up at McCain. However, some also went to Adena. The final graduating class at the school was 1965 (tons of consolidation was happening then). The building still sits in the small village of South Salem, right on the Ross and Highland county bor...

Re: State champion predictions

Re Paladin: totally understood, if anyone has the MAC's "number" it is Kirtland as they can play with 'em up front on BOTH side of the ball...certainly a coin flip game if it comes down to those 2 teams imo.

Re: State champion predictions

Fun game, am terrible at it, but will try anyway...am going with: Iggy, Winton Woods, Trotwood, Steuby, Wheelersburg, Marion Local and Harvest Prep.
Stupid question for Paladin (not a troll): are you hedging on your D6 pick? Saw on the "other site" where you had Kirtland...just curious.

Re: THE 3 BEST GAMES YOU EVER SAW IN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

#1: Moeller/Massillon, state title game in '81, '82, or '83 at Nippert. Spielman played for Massillon. My father introduced to me as a young spectator what big time high school football was all about #2: Iggy/Moeller, state title game at the 'Shoe in '86 or '87 maybe. The 2 QB's (Pickens and Hyzdu) ...

Re: What is your schools mascot & why did it take that name?

Zane Trace was a consolidation of Centralia, Kingston, and Adelphi high schools. First graduating class was 1966. From what we were told back in the day, the frontiersman (Ebenezer?) Zane actually blazed a trail into what was the wilderness full of indians and such, and a national road at one time w...

Re: Tuesday 1-31-17 ...updates and scores

That photo is an excellent example 4thgoal, and exactly what came to mind when trying to describe it. Looks to be circa 1920's/1930's. And we think fans can get a bit rowdy at times now...

Re: Tuesday 1-31-17 ...updates and scores

Fyi: a "cager" is a very old reference to a basketball player. In the "old days" (maybe pre World War 2?), fans were so enthusiastic shall we say, that a lot of the old gymnasiums installed literal cages to separate and keep the fans from the players and the playing floor. And, h...

Re: Old School's (Pre Consolidation)Mascots

VERY interesting stuff, have a few from mainly Ross County: Zane Trace's first graduating class was in 1966, the two schools that formed the majority of the new district were Centralia (Bulldogs) and Kingston (Redskins), they also pulled a few students from Adelphi and Laurelville (not sure of their...

Re: WK4 Eastern @ River Valley

If River Valley can do a better job in three key areas they can pick up their first win of the season: 1. Don't turn the ball over - I believe they did a better job of this last week 2. The line has to continue to improve - They must be able to move the chains with the ground game & protect the ...

I haven't saw the schedule yet (not sure if its even out) but I'm sure its pretty weak as usual. I'd say they will win some games down in 256 land but not sure its anything to get all excited about.

Re: USC Coach's Point of View

If OSU had any ability whatsoever to throw the ball down the field they would have won this game. They just don't have confidence in Pryor's ability to stretch the field vertically and until they do, it'll be the same ole Buckeyes
