Re: Logan football 2019

I use to do just the SEOAL when Locos had his site. But when he went off to college it was too much for him. Honestly it just got too difficult to get stats from folks. Not enough got printed in the papers or they were behind a paywall. I think I still have almost everything from the SEOAL between ...

Re: (28) Grove City at (11) Logan D1 TOURNAMENT

The Central District is very formidable in D1 with Dublin Coffman and Hillard Bradley, teams that have a good shot at the regionals or perhaps the state. Pick Central is probably one of the favorites for the D1 crown. Pick North, Newark, a healthy Upper Arlington team along with Coffman and Bradley...

Re: How to tell if Sessions are Split

I like to go to tourney games and like to see two games, at least. Travel is always at least an hour and sometimes 2 or more, so that costs quite a bit and takes time. I am more prone to go if the sessions are not split, more because of time than the money. Unlike baseball and other sports the dura...

Re: 2018-19 Logan Chieftains

Bo scored 133 as a frosh.

Tegan has 27 so far this season. Tegan has a lot of potential, but he shouldn’t be burdened with the expectations to live up to Bo.

Heck, I’m pretty sure he’s already ahead of his dad at this point in their careers and Keith is still one of the all-time greats!

Re: 2018-19 Logan Chieftains

Bo Myers now sits on 1596 career points - an LHS boys record. In 90 career games he is averaging 17.7 points per game including a whopping 27.2 points per game this season. I believe the Hocking County record is held by Dave Poling (Union Furnace/Starr-Washington, class of 1971) who scored 1,604 poi...

Re: Career Points

I think I'm going to work on putting together a list for the pre-consolidation Hocking County schools.

Gibisonville, Laurelville, Union Furnace/Starr-Washington, Rockbridge, Murray City, Carbon Hill, South Bloomingville, etc.

UF/S-W definitely had a handfull of 1,000 point scorers.

Re: Logan is the #11 seed

Hilliard Davidson has a 6’7 PG and no player listed below 6’2, not sure that that would be an ideal matchup. Once you get to a D1 District there aren't any "good" matchups. BUT - Any time you have a chance to reach the regional without having to go through teams like Coffman, the Pickeringtons, Hil...

Re: Logan football 2019

65 boys going out might equal 55 when the first game comes around. This coach sounds a little strict so it would not shock me that 10 will not be able to take it. Our school size shouldn't be under 60 boys. Seems like our numbers haven't gone up after we consolidated. I wouldn't want to count fresh...

Re: Logan football 2019

Logan needs all the help they can get. For the program to look like it will change it will need in the area of 65 boys coming out. Logan with all their boys need more than the 45/50 boys out. It is a problem the boys are stretch out over the whole county but people are getting tired of hearing that...

Hearing 2nd-3rd hand that there are 4-6 athletes that played other sports last year but did not play football that will be playing this year, is that an accurate reflection from those that are familiar with the program? Two seniors and some sophomores and juniors?
I hope so!

Re: Logan football 2019

Logan’s defense was really not that bad last year just by the scores that I remember. You played a couple teams close. 5-5 the first year if coach has a good simple offense to get things started. I can’t imagine another 1 2 or 3 win season ever! Logan's defense hasn't been good for a looooong time....

Re: 2018-19 Logan Chieftains

I ,m pretty sure Vinton County And Athens were the only Home and Away last year . I miss the league format of the Home and away . Being an Independent effects so much and takes away from rivalries . Hope that changes soon. Thanks. Forgot about those two. And yes, hopefully more home and home league...

Insane .. What was she like in college
She started at Ohio State. I saw her play a lot there. She struggled - her shot was a little slow and playing at the higher pace limited her game.

I forget where she transferred too. But she has been an excellent college coach and obviously knows the game!

Gallia Academy receives:

Alex Penrod

Logan receives:

Does this make Mike Eddy the “player to be named later?”

A few thoughts: A) The Logan job IS NOT what it used to be. I don't know who some people thought would apply for this job. The reality is that the job attracted fewer than TWENTY applicants. That ain't a whole lot, folks. I reached out to coaches I knew through out the area and asked about their per...

Excited to finally be able to talk about an excellent hire. Coach Eddy turned around a Gallipolis program that was in turmoil in his first head coaching job. He helped mold Logan native Alex Penrod into a coach who had historic seasons at Alexander and Gallipolis. Coach Eddy is ready for his next ch...
