Re: Licking County League expansion

I know the current rumors are that they are seeking Div. 1 schools (can't imagine they will get many/any), but I wonder if the LCL has contacted the eastern Franklin county schools (specifically, Bexley, Whitehall, and Columbus Academy). These are the three schools that were left behind in the MSL-O...

Re: Where will Loveday sign????

I don't know anything about basketball recruiting websites and their accuracy, but this one does list a Louisville (and several other) offers:

I'm personally not a proponent or opponent of field turf, but some resources you might be interested in: https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2014/09/28/how-taxpayers-get-fooled-on-the-cost-of-an-artificial-turf-field/#75c8af245db2 https://sites.duke.edu/wcwp/tournament-guides/world-cup-2015-gui...

Re: Amanda-Clearcreek @ Hamilton Township

This should be a good game. HT was always my favorite "hostile" environment to go to when I played (along with Berne Union). This is THE game for the Aces in terms of playoffs this year. They seem less likely to beat Teays Valley next week (I know HT just beat them) and MUST win one of the...

Should be a running clock win for the Aces this week.

Re: Best Quarterbacks in the Area

I don't think he's the "best" this year, but a very good dual-threat QB this year is Peyton Madison at Amanda-Clearcreek. Stats so far (as near as I can find):
Passing: 39/85 751 yards, 10 TD (don't have INT total, but around 8 I think)
Rushing: 106 for 718 yards, 10 TD

Re: SEOPS Top 20 and Expanded Rankings

You should cover the Clinton Massie Falcons, b/c they meet the criteria of a small school southern Ohio team, and they'd put a running clock on any team around these parts. I agree Massie is a great program but this isn't a Southern Ohio ranking but a Southeastern Ohio ranking. Clarksville is 40 mi...

Re: Biship Ready (2-3) @ Amanda-Clearcreek (5-0)

This will easily be the biggest test for the Aces so far this year. Don't let Ready's record fool you, they've lost to Genoa Area (5-0), Hartley, and Grandview Hts (5-0) by a point and beat a very good West Jeff team. The Aces have taken care of business, but played a soft schedule thus far. I antic...

Re: Amanda Clearcreek (4-0) @ Fairfield Union (2-2)

Just some statistical clarification on some of my points earlier if interested: Beginning of run [could go back to 1991 (regional runner-up) or 1990 (undefeated but missed playoffs) if one wanted to]. 1993: 9-3, Regional runner-up 1994: 10-1, Playoffs 1995: 11-1, Regional Runner-up 1996: 12-1, State...

Re: Amanda Clearcreek (4-0) @ Fairfield Union (2-2)

Again, as with LE last week, I'm not sure how good AC is yet. They had to work in the 2nd half to beat both Liberty Union and Logan Elm, who between them probably won't win 4 games. I think this is a toss up game this week. There is definitely still a lot of interest in football at AC, but the varsi...

Re: MSL Question

I know Logan has applied in the past. I also know they have discussed forming a new league and Teays Valley was involved in those talks. Barring a size-based reshuffling of the whole league, I don't see a Logan scenario (I have no direct knowledge personally). The Buckeye division would make sense g...

Re: MSL Question

Also, the Buckeye and Ohio divisions currently have 7 football members each. To fill the missing spot, a team from each division plays a crossover with a member of the other division weeks 4-10. London is leaving the Ohio division after this season. Buckeye Valley (near Delaware) will join I believe...

Re: MSL Question

Liberty Union moved to the Ohio division for football only to help with losses of members to other leagues. This is (so far) supposed to be a temporary move. Ready is also a football-only affiliate of the Ohio division (play a full league schedule, but unlike Liberty Union they are not eligible for ...

Re: Big day Thursday April 7th

Here is a good question to ask, with many schools moving up and divisions seeing a bit of a shuffle, does it cause a new round of conference realignment throughout the state and how much? For the Logan posters, does it get them into a conference? Warren (besides the OVAC)? That's what I was wonderi...
