Scioto Valley Youth League is well organized, but let's get real about the coaching. It is "daddy ball." I watched a game the other night that had seven dads in dugout. The thing is that the kids are playing which makes them better despite the coaching.

Agree. Plus, a lot of veteran coaches in SVC baseball which means continuity in the programs.

Great game! Huge crowd. Burg scores two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Zane Trace 4-3. Both teams had seven hits in the game. Zane Trace has nothing to hang their heads about.

One team expected to be in this game. The other probably not, but I think that makes ZT's young team dangerous. Plus, they play and win a lot at the VA. The Pioneers lost 7 starters from their league championship team in 2016 that won 21 games.

The funniest thing in this topic is people picking Zane Trace to be 6th or 7th in the league this year. They finished 3rd in the SVC, captured a District title and won 20 games so far.

Comparing baseball scores is like comparing apples to oranges. Too many factors involved. Mainly luck and who is pitching.

Zane Trace is a young team who is on a roll. I read somewhere they had a 6-7 record at one time. So, that means they are 14-3 since.

Zane Trace has improved all season. They lost a lot of talent from last year.

The two SVC teams left are really different in personnal. Adena (13-12) has like 10 seniors. Zane Trace (18-10) sometimes has as many as three freshman and 3 or 4 sophomores on the field at one time. They do have a veteran pitcher though.

Burg should have no trouble with West, but you never know. Adena is better than their record, but has a pitcher down. I don't know much about Peake. Minford-York might be a toss-up.
