Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership

Both Warren and Marietta should join a league closer to them, or form a new one up there. I'm sure parents from VC, Wellston and RV, (the farthest 3 away) don't want to drive to these schools, especially on a school night, during wrestling and basketball season. Let alone any other time of the year...

Word out of Reedsville is they're going to try what Meigs should have done, and have the football coach take over the basketball program too. Since his son is the best player that makes sense. :o

Troll level: 1,000 Keep up the negativity. It is clearly your thing. #smallmancomplexsyndrome Yeah this is negative for the program. They lost a great coach. Yeah, and nothing can be done about that. So stop dwelling on it. They have a chance to replace him with an even greater coach. So hire the m...

Re: Most surprising team this year

Trimble and Southern. Both had young teams overall and finished well above .500. I know Trimble had Hixon but not much experience outside of him. Southern graduated a lot from the previous season and didn't really have a standout player, just a bunch of guys who played well together. Before season ...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?

While it is funny reading all of the ridiculously over the top sarcastic posts and people biting by commenting on them, can we talk about people who might actually take the job? Coach Bartrum is so deep into the football program (he truly is) there is no possible way he has any inkling of wanting t...

If what I'm hearing is true, Bart taking over at Meigs and Kline back at the helm at NY, those two could battle for the top spot with the talent they both have coming back and proven winning coaches. Of course VC will be in the mix, as always.

Is Kline back? If so, good call. It will take someone like him to get the program turned back around to where it once was.

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?

In all seriousness, I would love to see Bartrum be the basketball coach. I really think he could do both football and basketball. Why not? He’s obviously knowledgeable in football and basketball. Why not let him coach both? It’s what would be best for the kids. Sign him up for the baseball and wres...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?

I see some of you are butt hurt about my support for "NFL." Don't be jealous of him for what he has done. No one looks down on you just because you couldn't play in the pros. Hopefully no one in charge is jealous enough of him to let that keep them from giving him the job. That program has...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?

At this point it's best to stay in house. You have a "proven winner" who reportedly wants the job in "NFL." So let him have it and move on. No need to bring in someone who didn't work out at another school and take a chance. Let "NFL" have it and see what he can do.

Fairland by 20+, fairfield had a tough game against gallia and they shoukdve lost but the officiating was terrible, the convo is basically fairlands home court and there is no way FU pulls and upset Always glad to hear the refs cost them the game. It's even better to know it's going to happen in the...

Re: Eastern @ South Gallia (36-57)

South Gallia has gotten a lot better over the course of the season! Coach Wolf has done a very good job and the a the players are buying into what he is teaching them. Of course like it has always been when SG wins at home it has to be home cooking! The old AD retired at the end of 2015 give it a r...

Re: Eastern @ South Gallia (36-57)

Eastern-36, South Gallia-57: Final The Eastern boys fell to South Gallia of all teams with a school record-low 12 rebounds the entire game according to the Eastern bookkeeping. Thoughts? The game was at SG, correct? No more needs said. SG has been playing much better and now has a new player allowe...

Re: Waterford Wildcats

Yes you are correct. Neither of those teams, and several in the Hocking as well as Meigs in the Ohio refuse to entertain the idea of an assigner. Many excuses given, but it's clear in the Hocking that those teams win a lot of games at home that are head scratchers. Belpre uses an assigner...
