Re: 2015 SEOPs High School Football Pick 'Em, Week #1
Just giving everyone a heads up: The deadline to turn in your picks for Week #1 is now Thursday at 6 PM. I wasn't aware that Valley/Portsmouth was this Thursday. Sorry for any inconvenience. Carry on.

Re: Can Ohio State repeat?
I absolutely love the non-conference schedule. Quality opponents with track records of success (ok, not so much Hawaii). Northern Illinois and Oregon are the only two schools to have won at least 11 games each of the last 5 years. Western Michigan will be tough again, as well. VT has been in a bowl ...

It's never been that small before and I won't start doing that now. There are more than enough games in the area to do 25.Raiderball wrote:I'll play.
Like someone else said earlier, you could cut it back to 15 games per week.

Week 1 is ready to go. You're in as long as you have Week #1's picks in by 6pm this coming Friday. Thanks and good luck, folks.

2015 SEOPs High School Football Pick 'Em, Week #1
Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it's football season and that means it's time for the Pick 'Em contest. Ordinary rules from other Pick 'Ems apply: As always, picks for each week should be posted no later than 6 PM on Friday of the given week. Anything posted after that (even if it's a minute late) WI...

Re: A SEOPS Pick 'em 2015 proposal
If you are taking the first 100... (Which is fine, it's your pool) But that will make everyone hurry up to enter their teams early in week 1 ... Just pointing that out. pmow3, I fully expect people who want to play to be left out. Too many times I've seen people try to run this thing and get frazzl...

Re: A SEOPS Pick 'em 2015 proposal
So basically for bragging rights. And if I can make a suggestion, maybe look at STO's high school football broadcast schedule and try to use games that'll be broadcasted from other parts of the state so we can all watch those games should any of us not be able to go to any of our local games here i...

Re: A SEOPS Pick 'em 2015 proposal
Thanks Fuzz! I always look forward to the weekly pick ems. If I could suggest that people who miss a week are "out"...it will make it much easier on you. Besides. someone taking 25 or so losses for a week due to not picking will not have a chance to make the final 32! Count me in! Yes, I ...

A SEOPS Pick 'em 2015 proposal
OK. I realize that the annual Pick 'EM contest can be an absolute bear to keep control of. That being said, it's extremely fun and exciting. That's why I'm throwing my hat in the ring and offering to make the weekly schedule of games and keep track of everyone's scores. My proposal: a weekly schedul...

Re: cg vs pleasant
Looks like Pleasant lost a lot of defensive production from last year as well. Lawrence led the squad in tackles with 101 and he also picked off two passes. McCurdy (a senior who was also a starting offensive lineman) recorded 92 tackles and eight quarterback sacks, senior Kevin Taylor notched 70 ta...

Re: cg vs pleasant
Stats I found from an informative article in the Marion Star written last year around playoff time. Pleasant apparently lost everyone on offense from last year's undefeated team. This includes RBs Cade Lawrence and Kyle Galyk who ran for about 1,200 yards each last year (Galyk also had about 1,000 r...

Re: cg vs pleasant
Assuming Pleasant has some key players back from last year's team, they should win this one. This will definitely tell us where Coal Grove stands though. Absolutely brutal schedule this year.

Re: Gallipolis reportedly headed to OVC
I'm a huge fan of this move. Gallia Academy has a long history of playing OVC schools on a regular basis. This will also enable the Ironton/Gallia series to continue. I'm also sick of hearing about gas prices. SE Ohio is a very rural area; if you want to play, you're going to have to drive.

Great to see this type of year out of the Raiders. Been a long time coming. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
