Re: WEEK 6 WHEELERSBURG(4-1) @ COAL GROVE(3-2)

Some people just choose to use proper spelling and grammar because they don't want to appear to have the IQ of a Venus fly trap and they want to be taken seriously.

Re: week six: scores & updates

"Bull puppies" is Paladin's way of saying that Athens left the dung hill that is the SEOAL and is actually trying to become relevant statewide, rather than just beat local teams with shrinking enrollment.

Re: Week 3: Oak Hill (1-1) @ Rock Hill (1-1)

Agree Crab's brother about Wheelersburg. I am not originally from this area. However, while coaching in the Columbus area for 12 years, Wheelersburg and Ironton were the programs we knew about from a consistent performer in the regular season and playoffs. Maybe our buddy Fuzz is still scratching h...

Re: Week 3: Oak Hill (1-1) @ Rock Hill (1-1)

So Oak Hill gets blown out by one of the premier programs south of Columbus and Rock Hill needs a late fumble recovery to beat SOC doormat Northwest and all of a sudden people are thinking Rock Hill is going to win this game? This one will be decided by halftime. Oaks big! Rock Hill fans have been ...

Re: Week 3: Oak Hill (1-1) @ Rock Hill (1-1)

Rock Hill's last victory against a non-conference opponent came against Oak Hill in 2011. Before that, their last non-conference win came in 2007 against Welston. I'm not sure Oak Hill is as bad this year as then, but hopefully Rock Hill has improved. Here's pulling for a winning streak for the Redm...

If merely formerly living in the same county as the City of Ironton makes me a "tigger fan" then I guess I fit the bill. I'm a fan of high school football. i actually attended Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove). The Hornets, like the Chiefs, have 20-something conference titles with a smattering of...

Re: Week 3 Logan (0-2) @ Meigs (1-1)

On an area-wide level (SE Ohio) Logan's success has been minimal. To revel in winning your conference with no state-level results to show for it is frankly pathetic, no matter how big or small your school is. By all means, play the martyr card and claim that Logan did the "honorable thing"...

Athens had the formula for building a solid "big school" program in SE Ohio figured out several years ago when they made the decision to pull out of the sinking ship this was (and is) the SEOAL. They went from being a joke to arguably the best football program in SE Ohio by scheduling rea...

Re: tOSU vs Va Tech

After watching this game and others like it over the last 6 or 7 years, I can honestly say I have no idea why a recruit who honestly wanted to win a national championship would choose Ohio State. The program, just like when John Cooper was there, is a publicist - a self-important, bloated national-T...

Congrats to Rock Hill for knocking me out of the SEOPs Survivor game! Build on this and get better each week and you could see yourselves with a decent record at year's end!

First of all, I love this matchup. Two schools in close proximity to each other of similar size. I'd love to see this series stick around. That being said, I'm going with the Gallians to pick up another win in OVC land.

Re: tOSU vs Va Tech

I hope it's nothing resembling a classic. A night game in front of possibly the largest crowd ever at Ohio Stadium including blue chip recruits against an unranked opponent should be grounds for a mauling.
