Re: 2024 Ironton Fighting Tigers
I have a copy of the Ironton schedule but will not release it until I'm told it's OK. There is no Mooney on the schedule.

Re: 2024 Ironton Fighting Tigers
Those transfers were over several years and in more than one sport but one of them is there now. This is a school who never gets transfers. My nephew went to school there and started on the basketball team in the 7th grade. He sat the bench his 8th grade year due to transfers. I thought Ironton had ...

Re: 2024 Ironton Fighting Tigers
The only team that don't have transfers are the ones with losing records. I know of one school in Scioto County that can brag that they have had 8 transfer from Ironton. In fact they have one now in basketball. The 8 transfers were in football, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer. The soccer t...

Re: 2024 Ironton Fighting Tigers
With Ironton as it always has been during the pendleton area will be turnovers and dumb penalties. There are not many Southetn Ohio teams who don't make turnovers and penalties and still have the same record as Coach Pendleton. How many active coaches can say they are 67 and 13 with 5 of those loss...

Re: Irontons Shaun Terry Committed to Notre Dame
Ryan Day isn't from Ohio so maybe that is why Ohio talent doesn't interest him. Perfect example is the running back from Moeller. Mr Ohio that goes to Michigan. Now tell me this kid didn't run against D1 talent.

Re: Ironton St. Joe Football 2025
If St Joe doesn't get the administration on the ball and increase the student census there will no longer be a St. JOE. If the Steubenville Diocese is thrown into the Columbus Diocese that bishop will close the school due to the low numbers. 48 students is not going to cut it. The Bishop of Columbus...

Re: Free Hotdogs to Ironton Players at Burg-Prep Game
Wear your jerseys and support the Burg and you get a free hot dog this week.. Disclaimer Had to go to Ironton all years of elementary I want the best cheer block available. I know the true Ironton kids have a lot of cheering experience. Lol rub it in Ironton’s face but that’s ok, that’s darn funny!...

Re: Burg fans called Ironton cheaters all season. Go Prep!!
I know of 7 kids that transferred from Ironton to The Burg. 3 in football, 1 in basketball. 1 in softball, 1 in baseball and 1 in soccer. Were they recruited, I don't think so. Good programs get kids who want to play for good programs. Only haters call them recruits. Will I post their names, no but ...

Ironton had 11 players to make all district. 8 of those 11 return. Next year should be a very good year for Ironton.

Re: Does Ironton need to consider a new offensive coordinator?
Just doing a little figuring. Bob Lutz 381 wins in 477 games for a 79.8 winning percentage. Trevon Pendelton 77 wins in 90 games for a 85.5 winning percentage. I think Ironton will stay with what they got. All teams have their negative Nancy's. The majority of the folks in Ironton will stick with Co...

Re: Ironton v Harvest Prep
It may be just me but the three penalties they keep flaging Ironton for are illegal prcedure. Block in the back and holding on the sweeps. Terry has had 3 TDd called back for a block in the back. The one I did see was 20 yards behind the runner. Is the procedure call caused by the center or by linem...

Re: Big Rival (5-4) Portsmouth @ (8-1) Ironton
This rivalry isn't getting the years it started right. The Ohsaa Has Ironton football starting in 1902. This isn't near right. Ironton started playing football in the late 1800s. Portsmouth was one of the teams they played. I talked to the AD about writing the OHSAA and getting the date right but no...

Re: Ironton JR Shaun Terry College Offers (14)
The kid reminds me a lot of Jermon Jackson with one exception. I do believe he is a better pass receiver than Jermon. Not only that but his yards after the catch are unreal.
His offers keep piling up and he is only a Junior. Next years Ironton team should be a pleasure to watch.

Re: Time for Saint Joe to bring back football?
Years ago there was rumor or speculation that St Joe and Holy Family would form a team and that Coach Lutz would coach there the first few years. Now, whether that was just rumors or really being researched I cannot say. River Rat Ray probably knows as he's alumni and played football there. It cost...

Re: Time for Saint Joe to bring back football?
I kind of disagree about Steubenville being the worse Diocese. If you look closely at Columbus they are closing down parishes all over their area. Just take Portsmouth for an example. Saint Monica's in New Boston, shut down. The average of parishioners per priest in the Columbus Diocese is 1800 to ...
