Re: What's for dinner/supper tonight? - RECIPES

Hey Turk - First, I'd omit the butter and use oil, but other than that it's great!! I'm going to serve this over a bed of salad greens, throw in some chopped root veg and a handful of dry roasted peanuts or cashews, and maybe a chopped hard boiled egg, then dress very lightly with oil and vinegar. P...

Is this a high carb deal.....pasta.....? If you stretch 7 or 8 oz whole wheat pasta over 4 servings, that's a relatively small amount per, and the protein and fiber found in whole wheat pasta make it break down and digest more slowly giving it more staying power rather than immediately being conver...

Their are saying it was 10 tons. Why couldn't our great scientists see this coming? sequestration! The "10 tons" was the explosive power [compared to dynamite] it generated as it entered Earth's atmosphere - exponentially huge "sonic boom" that generated way more percussive dest...

Actually this "diet" is less fad and more healthy lifestyle. It emphasizes including low fat protein, high fiber, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and limiting processed foods - just basic good nutrition and cooking for yourself so you control the content and eliminate "additives&...

Re: visiting Chicago and going to Wrigley

My son lives in the Chicago area, and I've been there many times. I frequently travel there via the Amtrak Cardinal train boarded in Ashland, KY, Maysville, KY, or Cincinnati, OH; and have used the local train system there to get downtown rather than driving in from his suburban home, but that's his...

Re: BURN NOTICE

USA and TNT have the best shows - plus they repeat them almost immedately, so, even without DVR, you can watch at 11:00 or 12:00 what you missed at 10. I've always watched Burn Notice. It's not my favorite, but I've always liked Sharon Gless ever since "Cagney and Lacy" - I'm more likely t...

JUST PRAY ABOUT IT - that has worked so well in the past, right, and it should be law? This powerful perfect deity you believe in either caused or failed to prevent this tragedy. I'm amazed that people go to places of worship after a tragedy and pray to that same deity. Since you changed your quote...
