Re: Williamstown State Champs

Play Parkersburg High !!!! At one time I believe that was one of the longest rivalry games in high school football.

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

Wellspring scored on a nice run and missed x-point. Warrens defense played an outstanding game with the secondary having it's best game yet. Offense scored enough to win. When your defense plays like that it takes a ton of pressure off the offense. Congrats to all who contributed to a good win. We f...

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

The Trojans special teams play hurt them FAR MORE than the officials did. Had 1 punt blocked and the rest shaky to say the least, fumbled every punt return but one I believe, muffed the second half kick off and end up starting on the 5. The biggest concern I had with the officiating was the late whi...

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

"A win is point's" If memory serves me right thats how Warren ended up in the S.E.O.A.L. and in over 20 years that has added up to 1 shared league championship and 0 playoff appearances. Been alot of lean years so it's good to see these boys having some success and changing attitudes about...

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

Glad to see the site is fixed, didn't want to disappoint WWF and only post when things are bad. Good game by the players and coaches over Meigs. They stuck with what worked and gambled some at the end of the half. The touch down, ON A PASS NO LESS, right before half I thought really took the wind ou...

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren

Marietta is a prime example except they have chosen to run the spread whether they have the personnel or not. The last 2 years with the big boys they had upfront Ive wondered why they didn't just line up and run the football whereas this years tigers seem better suited for the spread. Defensively th...

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren

I think you're wrong Swami, Coaches need to fit the offense to their personnel, not the other way around. Logan for example has a QB and some receivers that is allowing them to open their offense up. Warren is not physically able to line up and slug it out with too many teams. You don't even have to...

Re: WK 6 Jackson (4-1) @ Marietta (2-3)

Marietta can't tackle and Jackson has trouble defending the pass so this game comes down to special teams and turnovers. Should be a fun game to watch though.

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Warren @ (0-1) Philo

Sounds like the Jr High coaches know how to open up an offense !!! Young Leffingwell put up some good numbers, according to the paper 8 - 10 -1 157 yards 2 tds . Vincent had 5 catches 104 yards and 2 tds. Pitched a shutout on defense too !!Good job by the little Warriors and always good to beat Mari...

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Warren @ (0-1) Philo

Ellenwood is a Junior. Warren has got to spread things out on offense or teams are just gonna load 8 or 9 in the box like we've seen before. Ellenwood to Venham has to happen more than once a game, and keep Cox and Venham on the field at the same time. They are going to be a mis-match for most secon...

Wiiliamstown may have learned to stay put, they don't cross the river this year. Great win for your program. Hope the Warriors have a few like it soon !!

Good Health to both teams tonite.

Re: WK 1 Belpre @ Warren

Great game last year and expect the same this year. Defensively the Warriors look to be strong between the tackles so look for the eagles to run off tackle and sweeps with a counter or two just to keep the Warriors honest. Secondary is improved and will get better as the season progresses, corners u...

Re: An Early Look at the SEOAL: The 2008 Warren Warriors

Looks like depth on the line continues to be cause for concern for the Warriors. On the other hand the list of "skilled" players, Wolfe, Ellenwood, Pritt, Cox, Venham, Dunfee, Coffman, Hilverding, Arnold, Seth Wellspring (when available) and I'm sure I'm missing a couple others, is quite d...

Re: An Early Look at the SEOAL: The 2008 Warren Warriors

So who takes Lemon's spot for the next couple weeks ?? Hoon ?? And what about The senior Weekley ?? Wonder why Wolfe Is moving outside and Pritt to the middle ?? Wolfe's size makes him a better fit in the middle IMO. Is Hilvey getting any reps at Q.B. ? Ellenwood is your tight end if Hilvey can hand...

Re: An Early Look at the SEOAL: The 2008 Warren Warriors

Weekley HAS to be more than in the mix....should be a starter some where on that line and surely ahead of Alfred or Greathouse. He also caused and recovered the fumble that turned the game around at Belpre last year. What about David Wellspring ????? Hoon at tight end ????? I think that will change ...

Re: Warren Local Basketball 2008-2009

Nice post Mister B. WAAAAY too much pressure is put on these kids to attend these summer programs. I believe a lifting program will pay dividends across the board for all the sports. On the other hand by the time high school ball rolls around a PLAYER is a PLAYER skill wise irregardless of how many ...

Re: Warren Local Basketball 2008-2009

Tribetime, as shocking as this may sound, Kaleb has a JOB this summer. Wasn't that long ago when most boys worked during the summer. When did SUMMER BASKETBALL become mandatory for making the team that plays in the WINTER. With gas at $4.00 a gallon, by the time a kid drives to and from the high sch...
