Re: Local Speed Traps

With the lack of funds in today's economy I think that every little or big town will become a "speed trap". I went to Newark Saturday and saw several sheriffs deputies that had cars pulled over on US 23. Didn't used to see any of that.

Re: 135th Kentucky Derby

That was a storybook ending. I was rooting for two horses in the race. The horse that was owned by the retired principal and the horse that was trained by the guy with the broken leg. Turns out one of my horses won but too bad I didn't have a couple of hundred bucks on it.

If you go to Keim's make sure and get a custard pie if you like custard pie. It is the best.

Re: Steamboats on the Scioto River

Interesting! The Scioto must have been a lot deeper then. I wonder if it traveled down to the Ohio River or not? I couldn't see it getting over the sandbars close to where St. Rt. 348 crosses the Scioto.

Re: Somali Pirates Killed in Swift Firefight - U.S. Captain free

I can't believe the other pirates who think that the US (or anyone for that matter)did wrong here. What did they expect? Do they really believe that hijacking these ships is legal and their right?
