Of course they gained a lot of that back when they beat the MIGHTY Oklahoma Sooners.

Re: Boren to OSU

You guys are broken records. JT the ultimate gentleman should take a page from another book and maybe his teams won't get blown out in NC games. Lloyd won a NC as well and he was laid back, but guess what he also lost 5 out of his last 6 to OSU. Don Nehlen, laid back coach, his teams were real legi...

Re: Boren to OSU

Guess he was smart to transfer to OSU where he can be lazy and not have to work hard. Then, he will magically have great combine numbers w/out working hard, and will start for a team that has dominated the Big Ten, while apparently not working hard. Man, OSU would really be something if the players...

Re: Justin Boren Quits UM Team

And sorry hdfatboy, I guess I should have said ....being at home...at night....28 point favorites...against your rival...national title appearance on the line.......ouch. That even eclipses all of the Cooper collapses. According to the guy who has called a lot, RR has been asked to tone it down, an...

Re: Justin Boren Quits UM Team

Within the next few days we may be finding out that OSU must somehow win with weak players and no proper conditioning. Jim Tressel is more amazing than I thought. He didn't even need the top 3 powerhouses from the Big Ten to leave the conference before winning, and to think he can do it with player...

That's a good one! Although, I like it best when the Mountaineer football team sings it after a home game myself. 8)

Re: Indian food

I love Indian food, my only advice would be to pay attention if they say it is hot or spicey, some foods like vindaloo can be really spicy hot. I usually get a a chicken dish - either curry or tikka masala. I don't know about Nawab, but I am sure you will find something to your taste. Other things I...

Sounds like hdfatboy has some type of connection one way or the other with the CAO....Because he has no idea of what we are talking about.... What? - that doesn't even make sense. The closest connections I have with the CAO is that I once knew someone who drove a van for them....and I grew up withi...

BAD MOVE. I grew up playing basketball and whiffle ball with B.J. Hannon pitching to all the kids. also frisbee golf and frisbee football. The adults in that neighborhood were great. When it got dark we would play kick the can and capture the flag. I also lived by Etna street park for a couple years...

Found the actual study: http://www2.bren.ucsb.edu/~kotchen/links/DSTpaper.pdf Interestingly, in most of the controlled experiments cited by the authors find no difference in overall energy usage because the months it increases are offset by the months it decreases....which is consistent with the fac...

Re: Daylight Savings Time

I'd like to see the actual science behind that study - a 1-4% increase could very easily be a statistical artifact (depending on their methodology). I'd like to see their sampling and statistical procedures. In addition, since you aren't actually changing the amount of daylight, I don't see how this...

Geez, I can remember a time when the area around Central was filled with kids everyday of the week (and the school was closed by then)...it wasn't uncommon for their to be 20 or more kids out there doing something all the time. Home run derby on the side yard. The playground in front - which has sin...

I wonder how the cost figures into this too? I know around here that the greens fees for the decent courses can get pretty steep. I only play when we have golf outings for work.

Re: As time passes us by!

I had a similar experience this past week - one of my son's hockey teammates has parents from Columbus. I was talking to the mom and mentioned the blizzard in the late 70's and how our schools were out for almost a month. Then I realized she hadn't even been born yet.
