Re: Columbus Wellington 70 Clay 56 (2017 Elite 8)

Incredible season by the Clay Panthers, It's just hard to compete when the columbus teams are 3-4 more players deep, a huge height advantage, amd their confidence coming into the game. It also didn't help that the panthers had a heart wrenching game 3 days earlier that went into double overtime wher...

Re: Clay vs Grove City Christian

Decided to go watch both games last night, hadn't been in a while. Both were great games . I call them like I see them. I do think the gccs clay game was decided by the refs. Clay had their 3 studs with 4 fouls early in the 4th quarter and not one of them fouled out , even through two overtimes. Gc...

Re: Clay vs Grove City Christian

Can't see this game being too big of a gap, all those mentioned are past years, past teams, past experience. These two teams match up rather well, both have scorers on their team, both have a great opportunity. I don't think either team is "expected" to win and could go either way. This ga...

Re: Convo: 3/11 (12PM) #1 Clay vs. #6 South Webster

Expect to see King and Gilliland make a statement this game, both have talent but I believe Clay has more offensive weapons. But this game could come down to who wants it more, and who comes out ready to play. The older blevins is a senior and is playing like one, he's really stepped it up for their...

disagree, I don't think they are nearly as good, but that's why they play the games. As for this game, I see waterford by about 15-20, they will just out resource Fairfield, especially on the bigger court in the second half.

Re: D4 2/28 #1 Clay vs. #9 Manchester (Northwest)

Clay looked 30 points better than every team that played tonight. They moved the ball very well tonight, played good defense, and shot the ball very well. East pressure caused huge fits against fairfield in the second half. They didn't seem to handle it too well, had "dumb" turnovers. I do...

Who are their three guards your referring to? Only kids that stood out to me was their center, (the younger Blevins) and their shooting guard Zimmerman. All the others seemed to be role players to them

Waterford, Ports Clay, and Logan Elm all on the brink of reaching the BIG purple letters, any way these teams could make the cut for the final week of results? Any thoughts

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10

We are discussing the high school basketball team, the JR. High fans is completely irrelevant to Clays basketball team. It didn't have a thing to do with the coach, or the players. The initial source was due to the parents and fans of both teams. Embarrassing, yes I agree, but zero correlation with ...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10

Seems to me it's one of the players for Portsmouth, let ignorance flourish through his mind while he's young. Insulting and making confident judgements over something you know little about isn't a good way to express your opinions

Re: SOC I and II POTY Candidates

For the SOC 1, it's a great accomplishment to have two extremely talented players who would be SOC player of the year, and would most likely runner up if they were on opposite teams. King and Gilliland are very talented kids, and they all have their own role, much respect to both of these young play...

Re: D4 Boys Sectional Meigs High School outlook

Outside of Waterford this sectional is embarrassingly weak compared to past years, there's such a skill gap between the 1 seed and everyone else, would like to see how far they can make it this year come tourney time

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10

Phoenix31, how many of Clay's opponents have you personally watched to warrant such a statement? The Pfloyd eye test and rankings likely contain much more validity than just your opinion. I know who is on Clay's team. I know who is on Portsmouth's team. 'Nuff said. Id like to hear names and compari...

Re: D4 Boys Northwest Sectional Teams and Outlook

So websters only SOC 1 win was against Notre Dame which was also a team that was down 12 against green at half during their last matchup In which they won by double digits. Games aren't decided by halves. Notre Dame also destroyed East @ East by 20, beat Western twice, and only lost to Clay by 1. W...

Re: D4 Boys Northwest Sectional Teams and Outlook

I'm not sure who has the tougher schedule. But at the end of the day you have to win. No matter who has the toughest schedule. Webster is now 1-2 against the SOC 1. Plus who have they beat? They have good wins against Notre Dame and Wheelersburg but who else? That is an honest question? As I have a...

Nice to see the Clay Panthers starting to climb back up on the rankings, thought start to a season with injuries, sitting half a season, etc. They are starting to get back into the groove of things

Re: Eastern Pike vs. Porstmouth Clay 1-20

Going to be a very exciting game, last time around Clay was at a handicap having players hurt, coming off injuries, etc. Eagles defense and if they can commit turnovers will be a huge factor in this game, if clay can sit down and play D and hit their shots then I'm expecting Clay to come up on top i...
