Re: Enrollment #'s for Elite 8 Teams
Which came first, chicken or egg? The question of open vs. moving into a district or simply going to a school that has a program, most likely, going to State most years. In Arizona, my understanding, we have open enrollment as well. In metro Phoenix, the same schools win and the same schools lose ye...

Re: 2018/19 Portsmouth Trojans
The banner listing all the appearance to state would be an awesome site for visiting teams to see,
let alone the intimidating factor.
Why would the school not want to have one hanging.
Keep up the fight!

Re: 2/15 - Ironton 69 Portsmouth 24
TrojanDave, thank you for understanding my comments are an opinion and just that. No bearing whatsoever on the Trojans. I hope the Trojans get to work in the off season and put in the time that is needed to learn how to shoot. In the day there were do many places to put the ball in the hoop, school ...

Re: 2/15 - Ironton 69 Portsmouth 24
I hope they did not,I just gave my opinion based what I read. Coach Collins is an outstanding coach and from my understanding even a better person. Stated here before it has said a big reason is shooting for the poor performance this season. Granted you need to score however, loosing games by 30-40 ...

Re: 2/15 - Ironton 69 Portsmouth 24
A sad sad sad for the men of Troy. All I have to go on is what I read on this forum, and from what I read (IMO) the Trojans quit on their coach! Pulling starters was the coaches only way to let public know! There will be a lot of new faces next year. Coach appears to be have been way too patient wit...

Re: Your schools best team(s) ever!
well, I am old enough to remember the 1953 Trojans...IMO the best football team to come out of southern ohio. This was when PHS was in the GOL at the height of its glory. Different era, i know this, but football is football. I also know there have been some OUTSTANDING AND AWESOME TEAMS from souther...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #10
So odd to see Portsmouth this far down the list. It is definitely earned! There have been so many terrible loses this season, you just can not loss at home by 30 points! The post season will be a short one, I am afraid. Hopefully next season we can have players step up and learn how to shot better, ...

Re: 2018/19 Portsmouth Trojans
trojandave, well said about our beloved Trojans..win or loss, the team must be playing hard to the final buzzer, never make any game easy for an opponent. Coach has to really be watchful, it appears the team may be quitting on him, this can happen, regardless of the coach, when the losses continue. ...

I am going back, way back in the time machine....as most old people do..
My choices would be the old New Boston gym in the 60's
East for sure. Grant gym in the 50-70's. The old Clay place was crazy.
Now way back, the old South Webster, McDermont (spl) and the gym
at McKell was H...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Pre Season 2018-19
Our High School BB started this week and our team won there first game. Football playoffs have one game in each division left.
Teams are allowed so many freedom games outside the regions they are assigned, make for some cool ball here.
Here is hoping the Trojans surprise this year and rock the house..
