Re: BEING AN OHIO STATE FAN

Had similar incident at Niagra Falls several years back. We walked into an Applebees on the Canadian side and I had on OSU shirt. I heard some yelling but did not pay much attention at first, and then I finally figured out someone was saying "OH" - my kids and I got it about the same time ...

Re: Vinny Zollo- Greenfield McClain

Army, you don't seem to pay attention, I back Hillsboro. Zollo leaving helps the Indians in the SCOL so I am glad to see him go. You need to grow up. As for the Cavs, I support the SE District and love the fact that a local D2 team has finally come through. Hopefully this will continue and the Distr...

Re: Vinny Zollo- Greenfield McClain

Zollo wants to play away from the basketball. At McClain he would have been forced to spend time in the paint because the Tigers don't have any other height. Big reason he is not coming back. Mommy and Ricky could not agree on where he should play.

You can't say VanMatre lost the kid when he never played for him.

Technically, you are right, Cox never did play for VanMatre, but he did play middle school ball in VanMatre's system.

I said he was the best freshman in "Highland County" - never mentioned the SHL.

Re: Vinny Zollo- Greenfield McClain

Some questions posters may be able to answer for me: 1. If strength of competition truly means something, isn't this a good move on the part of the parents? Seems to me he will play against and with better talent somewhere outside of SE Ohio. However, it did not seem to hurt Dante that he played at ...

Re: Vinny Zollo- Greenfield McClain

Brutal: I am a UK fan from way back - but at this time I would put to put Xavier's program right up there with UK's. Xavier made it all the way to the elite 8, finishing season at 27-6. Along the way they beat every Big 10, Big East, and Big 12 team they faced and also 2 of the three SEC teams they ...

Re: Zollo leaving McClain?

Ironman probably knows much more about the SHL than I do, but I would think that Cox is in a pretty good situation in Leesburg. Fairfield is a small division school with a lot of young talent coming up. If no one leaves and everyone stays eligible, I would think they will be the team to beat in the ...

Re: Zollo leaving McClain?

I did not say it was best for him, I said his family is "doing what they think is best for them". I personally think he would be better off in Greenfield. There is more to going to school than what is between the lines on the court, I hope his family keeps that in mind. McClain is a good s...

Re: Zollo leaving McClain?

McClain will be just fine without him. They are defending co-champs of the SCOL at the varsity level, champions at the reserve level, and undefeated at the freshman level. I have known his family for most of my life and they are doing what they think is best for them. I am sure that most of TigerNat...

Re: OSU needs Anthony Hitchens

Problem with him going to Akron is we won't get to see him much on television. Kinda like to see these local kids go were we can see them. Dante at Xavier is good for me because most of his games are on tv and also Xavier is less than an hour drive for me. IMO, Hitchens could eventually have played ...

Some people just don't get it. I couldn't stomach your hypochristian and racist views on the political forum, and you are no different here. One would think with all this education you profess to have, you would have learned that the color of ones skin is not an indication of the type of person that...

Re: 2/29 Chillicothe vs Logan Elm

DShanton and others: In my total dislike for Army, I guess I unintentionally posted some things that did not appear to put CHS in the best of light. I honestly was not trying to put the school or city down (I have friends kids in the school and my son is buried in the city). I was just trying to pus...

Re: 2/29 Chillicothe vs Logan Elm

army, you posted the numbers, now look at them. How do you get almost 22,000 people in your community, yet only 335 boys in three grades? Yet Highland County only has approx. 42,000 in the ENTIRE county, with FIVE schools, and yet Hillsboro and McClain can combine for 640 boys ( and that is without ...

Re: Rank Friday night's Coaches (D2 district finals)

1.VanMatre
1.(tie) Stiverson
3. Combs (but IMO give him more time and he could become #1)
4. Kellough (has more talent to work with than the rest)

Re: 2/29 Chillicothe vs Logan Elm

Actually my kids attend Hillsboro - so I will be watching Hillsboro baseball and track. By whoopin, are you talking about the kind that Chilli has taken for years and years until they lucked out and got dropped down a division to compete against many teams barely larger than D3? A town the size of ...

Re: 2/29 Chillicothe vs Logan Elm

SEFan: I am talking about the SE-MHS game last year. Some of the worst fan behavior from SE fans that I have ever seen. I have friends from SE who were flat out embarassed by the way the SE fans acted. Army: I'm not crying about last year - a double overtime loss to a very good team is nothing to be...

Re: 2/29 Chillicothe vs Logan Elm

mhs , I wouldnt be so sure about support. Look for plenty of SVC support for the Cavs. This time of year these kids all support each other. Go Blue and white , from another big blue . If you think everyone that isnt from CHS is rooting against them, you are hugely mistaken. GO CAVS! sounds like a b...

Hitch, that was my point, the crowd will be rooting for the underdog.

Army, Masters in Theology - man, that is still funny after all these months.
