Re: New Ironton vs. Logan series: Will this happen?

I'm really sorry that logan and ironton people have to talk on here again. My biggest beef with you ironton folks is you see the distant past as being important as what's been going on here late. Yes ironton last beat logan in 1990, that was a long time ago. The youngest people who played in that ga...

Re: Week 2: Logan (0-1) @ Pickerington North (0-1)

Lancaster as a team was bigger and stronger but that's not why we lost the battle up front. Most linemen and line coaches will tell you that strength, and too a lesser degree size does not make a super substantial difference. The most important thing is technique, leverage, and getting an awesome fi...

Re: Week 1: Lancaster AT Logan

I was at times pleasantly surprised at Logan's performance. Coaching was bad, play calling was pretty iffy (I could have told you the slow developing backfield actions wouldn't work, Gale D faces an offense that does to much of that stuff). I was very happy with the performance of Jurgensmire, he wa...

Re: Week 1: Lancaster AT Logan

When Logan Passes-With limited experience at the QB and receiver spots, Logan better hope they get some breaks in the pass game. Precise routes and timing are key when facing a team with the speed the lancaster has. I'd guess Logan would start off small in this area and try to build strength and mom...

Re: Week 1: Lancaster AT Logan

Re: 2010 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains

Tomahawks has gone through some pretty incredible changes over the years. I remember the first few years i played we wore black uniforms, and there were about 25 kids on my third grade team (we all got a lot of minutes). i've long thought that Tomahawks should either split equal (no A team or B team...

Re: Logan Basketball Coach Keith Myers Resigns

Mull this over folks..... First, I spoke with a school board member who, although, did not divulge much, did say there were 2 excellent candidates. (He would not say from within or outside the system.) One of the coaches faced a rather large stumbling block. The other, appeared to be the school boa...

Re: Tressel endorses Ohio Stadium and Columbus to OHSAA

There are at least two arguments against Columbus: 1) The average crowd that shows up at the Finals would actually be lost in a 100,000 seat stadium and it would be like playing in an empty facility 2) The biggest reason is the very long and satisfying relationship the OHSAA and football Finals hav...

Rutter would have been a good one, not sure if I'm a fan of coaches (openly) getting on the preps soap box. No candidate is anywhere near ideal. This is a quite a...

Re: Ohio North-South All Star game

An excellent showing. Pat's stats are definitely above average, quarterbacks can often have a tough time in the north south game with just a half dozen practices to learn an offense and get the timing down. Excellent college-level competition, these are college athletes except not as savvy. I wonder...

Re: SEOAL 2010

Logan loses but 1 game next year (not counting a second round playoff loss). Lancaster, Pickerington, or Portsmouth. I sure hope its not to Portsmouth 'cause they look to run the table elsewhere. Logan needs another league title before the few years of life a few notches above mediocrity. Long term,...

I'd like to see Blevins or Stiverson or Maddox, but God knows that is not going to happen.
And I told everybody it was going to happen this year.

Re: WHO BELIEVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOULD BE IN COLUMBUS.

As someone who has played in the shoe, I absolutely think that the game should be held there. What's special about playing a game in a high school stadium? Why not have it on the biggest stage in the center of the state. It make's the kids feel good and help em play better. Got to get em up, the Sta...

Re: Logan Football Coach Resigns

This job is not up in the air. I'll eat my hat if Coach Wolfe doesn't get it. Good job and good luck to Coach Amyx, I guess he finally got tired of it. I'm sad that he never got a regional championship or better, but he's put Logan in a good position to have success in the future.

Re: D2 - R7: (2) Logan vs. (3) Brookhaven AT Hamilton Township

Before now It's been very painful for me to talk about this game, but there's a few things I gotta say... It's been difficult because I think there were a lot of outside things that had profound influence on the game. First I gotta call out Logan fans. ARE WE THAT SPOILED THAT WE GET THAT QUIET WHEN...

Re: D2 - R7: (2) Logan vs. (3) Brookhaven AT Hamilton Township

When Logan Passes The Ball Brookhaven may have seen recievers like Logan's and they may have seen a line like Logan's but they have never seen anything like Patrick Angle. The key to this match up is going to be what degree of protection the Logan O-Line can give against the UCLA bound Derrick Bryan...

Re: D2 - R7: (2) Logan vs. (3) Brookhaven AT Hamilton Township

I may have not worded this correctly but; I did not vote for Logan O-line for player of the week on account of they protected there quarterback well in a game where the opposing team rarely brought more than four people. That's not an exemplary performance warranting such accolades. If they do the s...

Re: D2 - R7: (2) Logan vs. (3) Brookhaven AT Hamilton Township

Derrick Bryant and the Brookhaven pass rush is the only reason I am not taking the Logan O line as the week 11 player(s) of the week. When you have a game when the defense hardly ever sends more than four guys, there isn't supposed to be sacks. If they can do the same thing this week, we should rena...
