Re: GAHS-Athens Updates

Is Gallia down this year or is Athens that good :?: That's pretty impressive to go into Memorial Field and do that in week 1. Athens should do well in the TVC Ohio.

Eastern must have stepped it up in the 2nd half because I heard 28 zip Alex with time still left in the first half.

Re: Changing your car's oil every 3,000 miles.

I change my own every 3K miles except for my truck and I use Mobil 1 synthetic in it. Most of the standard grade oil and filters are not good for much more than 3K miles due to loss of viscosity and cheaply built filters. My standard oil change costs me $12.00.

Re: Buying an extended warranty for your car.

Save your money :!: It's one of the biggest ripoffs going. Car dealers make a lot of money selling these and I have heard of too many people that have had them and they would not cover a lot of their repairs.

They have been running a lot of ads lately for the the new coaster. I think it is called Diamondback? Their website says $32.99 for a single pass but I have been seeing ads for I think $27.99.

Re: turkey hunting

I have passed on 11 jakes so far. I had a nice gobbler come in to a 2 hen set up this morning. He stopped at around 60 yards and never came any farther. I had a bead on him but my gun did not fire. Not meant to be I guess.

I always take all I can find which is never enough. I halve them and wash them really good to make sure there are no ants or bugs inside, and then I dip them in egg and flour or cornmeal and fry them :!:

Re: turkey hunting

I hit the woods again this morning. I had 2 birds gobbling at 7:40. They never came in. At 8 am I caught something moving out of the corner of my left eye. He was headed straight for my hen decoy. I slowly turned and the coyote saw me at the same time I saw him. I put a bead on him but didn't want t...

Re: turkey hunting

I called in 9 jakes Monday morning to within 10 yards but no long beards. I had a strutter with a hen in an open field at 100 yards. He kept answering my call but would not come in. He went to the left and the hen went to the right ending that set up. Yesterday I only heard hens. This morning I had ...
