Re: OVC 2021

Lady Trojans victorious at Ironton last night 6-4.
Madison Perry set the tone in the top of the first with a 2 run blast.

Re: Portsmouth West @ Portsmouth 1/30

The game is on.
My source was extremely credible (being the host AD).
😆
As it turns out I stand corrected.

Re: Portsmouth West @ Portsmouth 1/30

Portsmouth games have been cancelled all this week due to COVID. However, if this game was being played, I can assure you 69 that Portsmouth would give them all they wanted. I realize this is a special and unprecedented year for West, and kudos to them for putting it together, but the Trojans would...

Re: Portsmouth All Time Basketball

Joe Suboticki passed this past weekend from pancreatic cancer. He was a heck of a basketball coach for the Trojans during the late 80’s early 90’s.
RIP Coach Sub!

Peake flexed some OVC muscle today against Wurg. I think it’s safe to say who the stronger conference is at this point..

Re: Portsmouth's Coach Bradshaw...Thank You!

Thank you Hawkeye for those kind words. Yes Coach Bradshaw does a stand up job. She communicates with the girls off the field. She puts in a tremendous amount of time with them. She truly is an asset to the PHS system.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans Basketball---More Facts Than Opinions

Let’s face it. The last two senior classes have been far from the strongest basketball classes PHS has produced. This year’s class was always football motivated. Fraulini did develop into a very nice player in high school, but hasn’t been surrounded by threats to take the pressure off of him the las...

Re: Portsmouth Coach Eugene Collins Set to Make History

Great work throughout the years Coach Collins! Portsmouth Trojans are very lucky to have a man of your character and experience. Hope you stay for many years to come. I’d also like to recognize former assistant coaches Jim Arnzen and Greg Smith. Both were major assets to Coach Collins for several ye...

Re: What’s The Best Game You’ve Ever Witnessed?

So many great games involving the Trojans......here's a few that I will always remember, in no particular order: 1. Portsmouth 69, Chesapeake 68....... D3 2011 Regional Final......Wayne Evans teardrop shot with 4 seconds to play wins it for PHS. 2. Portsmouth 63, Cleveland Cathedral Latin 62..... 1...

Re: Out Of The Ashes? THE OKAC

Having played in the OKAC during the 80's, I can say it was super competitive in every sport top to bottom. Ironton had tremendous football teams during that period and generally won the football side, but not easily. Most would agree it was an awesome basketball and baseball conference. Portsmouth ...

Re: WK11: #7 Portsmouth Trojans(8-2) @ #2 Ridgewood Generals 10-0

Have enjoyed this group of Trojan football seniors through the years. Very hard nosed, hard working group..
Seniors.. Put in a great week of preparation. Hold nothing back and have no regrets.
Go Trojans!!!
