Re: 2009 Season

Portsmouth does have a nice thrower in Nate Cadogan and I believe their is a freshmen that could contribute some points in the distance events. They will be dominant in the local meets leading into the League and they should have some success at the league meet. Sorry for not clarifying it would be ...

2009 Season

Just thought I'd start one for all the real track fans out there. What are all your guys thoughts on the 2009 season. I look for the trojans to be one of the more dominant teams in Southeastern Ohio. Fairland and Piketon will be very dominant as well. Portsmouth returns their whole team from last ye...

Re: Regionals

Royster made it in the 200 and Link made it to the 400 finals. I hope they both can do well on Saturday. When that girl got injured they counted that as the 15 minute break. Link still had to run the 4x200 after that and then right after that the 400. It is all good though Link made it to finals and...

Re: Southeast District Heat / Flight Assignments Are Up

From what I saw Carter just didn't have anything left after that 400. He ran a very nice 400 and almost caught Link at the end. He did get his tigers into the regionals in the 4x4. He ran anchor and caught two teams.

Re: Boys OVC and SouthEastern Districts

Zach Link of Portsmouth ran a 50.9 in prelims at the SEOAL meet and a 51.05 in finals. He's improving nicely. Portsmouth's 4x400m relay might give Fairland a run for their money at districts they've loaded it up with the best sprinters they have.

That 400m dash was a pretty good one. I wish Link could of won, but congratulations to Kauffman on the victory. Link will be back next year going for it again.

Re: Meets May 2, 3?

There track is fine on another thread I said their track wasnt read, but it is; it is their throwing areas that aren't ready. They will have their invite on the 2nd, Portsmouth will be their.

Re: Boys OVC and SouthEastern Districts

I believe Burg is has a very good chance at winning th District. They are the most all around complete team I've seen in this area. Zach Link is in the 400m dash so far this year and it looks like he might have a shot at District; he finished second last year.

Re: SEOAL Top 10 (2003/07)

I look for the 400m dash this year to be very competitive at the SEOAL meet. From the looks of it we could hav a few guys in the 50's and you never know some of them could break into the 49's.

Zach Link form Portsmouth ran a 52.75 in the 400m dash at Oak Hill tonight. Jonathan Royster ran a 11.2 in the 100m dash and 23.7 in the 200m dash. I believe Royster also long jumped 19-8. Portsmouth also ran a 1:37 something in the 4x200m relay. Just got some new results from the Oak Hill meet Ryan...

Re: portsmouth track records

Yes, it is ver likely that possibly two of these records could be broken this year. Malik White should break the 300m hurdles record and Zach Link has a very good shot at breaking the 400m dash record.
