Someone alluded to this on a previous post. Schools have a problem supporting sports because of costs. Most sports don't make money. Football used tobe a cash cow for most schools. In todays world, especially at smaller schools, Football does well to break even. This is due to rising equipment cost...

Of course they have new buildings. Doesn't everyone...except schools in Washington County, Ohio. West Virginia does it right (school funding). How can new schools be built there (same nation, same economy) and we can't? I know...let it go.

I do think there are cuts planned that the public is unaware of, or will like. The cuts, if necessary, will run long and deep. With regard to athletics, don't assume $100 per sport will make up the $1.8 million dollar hole. They may cut some programs.

We are definitely becoming a bigger bunch of people in this country.

Are there 12 teams in that conference, also? Sorry, I couldn't let it past.

I think they are AA. Phillipi, WV is where Alderson Broaddus College is located.

NOTHING should ever come before family. Would have been an easy decision, IMO. He did the right thing.

I would like to see a 7th grade team AND an 8th grade team. Two different teams with two different schedules. Most schools in the SEOAL and the TVC have both a 7th and 8th grade team.

VERY well said. I agree. I didn't start ANY sport until 7th grade. If I'm not mistaken, Logan does flag football until 7th grade. It's a lot harder to "unteach" bad technique, than it is to teach the correct technique in the first place.

BTW, Ralph Holder was 2-7 his first season at Belpre (1961). I think he was just over .500 his second year; 5-4 or 6-3. Back them a lot of schools only played 9 games for some odd reason.

At some point Warren needs to also make a cultural change. It's not an accident that Warren has never made the playoffs. Stop blaming others, work harder, and grow a pair all of you community members and future players. Step up and make a name for yourself. It isn't about X's and O's, it's about gri...

I would think that Coach Santini would have ALL of this information. He was very organized and kept VERY precise records. I would try to contact him.

Neither of the two are HWT's.
