Re: RIVER VALLEY FOOTBALL 2013

Hopefully, this year will mark a new beginning for the Raiders. I have lost track of the team over the past few seasons but hope to begin following them again. There have been a lot of good players in the program over the years but for whatever reason the wins have not happened. I hope the upcoming ...

Earthmover Tires

I do not know if they are still used for lineman training or not but we have just removed two (2) 23.5R25 earthmover tires from a rock truck that cannot be repaired. They are about 5 - 5 1/2 feet tall by about 20" wide and are heavy. If anyone can use them, give me a PM and we will make arrange...

Re: (1-0) River Valley @ (0-1) Adena

How did RV do on kick-off coverage? It has always been a problem and has cost them several games in recent years.

Re: river valley 2012

It has been a long time since any RV news has been on here. Are there a lot of prospects in the chute? How is weightlifting and what is the situation with the new field? I see that they have started mowing the old field again and was wondering if that was a sign that the new one was not going to be ...

Re: river valley 2012

Perhaps some of his swagger (If it does exist) will transfer to the team. They will need all of the confidence they can get during a building period.

Re: Meigs New Hire

I always felt that he was a class act. He handled both players and himself well on the sideline. I am not from Meigs but it appears, from reading the paper, that he is stepping down the same way, with character. I wish him well in the future.

That is fantastic news! It sounds as though they might be getting an early start. Are they lifting anywhere?

Re: Who is your pick for Cinderella In South east Ohio?

Chesapeake and Adena do not seem like Cinderellas to me. South Gallia, on the other hand, comes to the field with about 22 players, as near as I could count. I am a long time RV fan but whether anyone wants to admit it or not, we could not do anything with them. I think they will fit the definition ...

The lights were on at the Cheshire field this past week. It was the first time I have seen that for a while. I have also seen other activity around the field.

Re: RIVER VALLEY RAIDERS 2011

As mentioned in the past, given the circumstances, there are few players more dedicated than an RV player. I sincerely hope that the new coach can harvest that dedication and use it to turn around the program. In today's entertainment enviroment, it is amazing that these young men continue to show u...

I heard that, but it would be in keeping with the direction that you suggested that things might go.

Re: River Valley Coach Resigns -- for real?

"Well since it was obvious that their main concern wasn't football but rather someone charla could keep a tight leash on I would imagine it will be the same old RV story."

Perhaps a female this time?

Re: Infield Sand

We are running sand and have done about 3 fields thus far. If you need any, let me know. My office number is (304) 675-7516. If possible, try to plan around the rains.

Re: Infield Sand

I am sorry for not posting my number. I am not trying to use this forum as an advertising venue. The reason I post is that I know how difficult this sand is to locate and when you find it, the cost is prohibitive. I did manage to get the stripping crew to stockpile about 800-1000 tons of the raw mat...

Re: River Valley Coach Resigns -- for real?

If he is truly the coach, at least they are giving him some time to get ready. This is unusual for the GCLS. He will need to get started ASAP. Perhaps his first order of business should be to cruise the halls a bit and get some people out. Don't forget the students at Buckeye Hills. Sometimes some o...

Re: Infield Sand

We are starting to get inquiries for the 2011 season and will be screening soon. As stated, I have a limited amount but I did get some additional raw material in stockpile. Unless we run into some more, this will be it. PM me if I can help.
