Much if not most of Madonna's success comes at the demise of Weir High. Weir is down, Madonna is up. It mirrors the same problems at Bishop Donahue and John Marshall. Not to mention that Madonna seems to have a very good group of Athletes. Several years ago both Madonna and Bishop were struggling.

Probably the only positive is, Caldwell might keep this game close for a while. In the end it will most likely be 3-4 score win for Shadyside.

Ferry has the potential and ability to be 'pesky' but I seriously doubt they will win this game. One possible plus that Ferry does have is speed. All members of their state qualifying 4x1 and 4x2 relay team are starters.

On a side note. Being suspended the first three games of the season, I didn't think Hyde would be able to get 1,000 yards rushing. With five games to go and being at 701 now, slam dunk, unless injury or something totally out of the ordinary happens.
