Re: Week 3 Wellston @ Gallipolis

Ive seen both of these teams and think that they mirror each other. Wellston has quick backs as well as Gallipolis. They both have swarming defenses and are pretty disiplined so far. I like Gallipolis because they are at home. Wellston has a lot of weapons and should not be under estimated. Jackson ...

Re: Week 1 - Jackson @ Wellston

Jackson was huge, I was surprised they didnt just run behind that big line. Wellston is super quick and swarm well on defense. Jackson looked a little tired, I am sure they will play well from here on out but I was super impressed with Wellston and I thinkl there coaching was flawlwess. The Osborne ...

Re: River Valley @ South Gallia

I watched two pretty good teams play hard last night, both have to figure out a way to defend the pass. I agree with ole bobcat RV did everything but punch the ball in the end zone. It would have been one of those games that you said RV outplayed SG except for where it counted,"the scoreboard&q...

Re: GALLIA ACADEMY BLUE DEVIL BASKETBALL 2010-11

make no mistake about it the Amos kid has basketball talent. He is a good outside shooter and will get better inside with experience, I am sure he will get stronger. He is a really good at blocking shots as well. This kid has excellent feet work and works hard. He will be fun to watch the next few y...

Re: July 6 deadline for 2010 GAHS HOF nominations

No offense to anyone out there but isnt the role of the committee to nominate and see that the very best get in. Im sure they vote on each nominated person but I would think they could go over each yr. the best they can or the best that the records are available. It is entirely possible that several...

Re: Gallia Academy 2010

With all do respect to everyone, I would never drop Ironton. They are one of the very best teams around and if you are a good coach and a good team you want to play the best to see where you are. I also would like to see us play Meigs and Point Pleasant they are close for travel and seem to always b...

Re: Week 2 0-1 Gallia Academy @ 1-0 Hillsboro

I hate to say it but the officiating was terrible and marred a great game of two teams who gave it there all. It looked like a couple of those refs were either new or really didnt have it together. I would however say that Hillsboro there fans and staff were great. What a turnaround for Gallipolis, ...

Re: #2 Vinton County vs #7 Gallia Academy

This was a pretty good game but I disagree that the officials were just letting them play. I know two of these officials well and I thought they were not at there best for both teams. That being said good luck to VC the rest of the way and by the way what a great fan turn out for you guys. I was ver...

Re: #2 Vinton County vs #7 Gallia Academy

I am pretty sure that VC will do what every other team has done this year and set back in a zone and trap us. I like the way we played up tempo against Warren at home and Jackson at home but I do not know if this is a good idea against VC. I also have heard OZ all year long screaming at these boys t...

Re: Is Jackson Leaving SEOAL?

I have no idea if Jackson is leaving the SEOAL or not but if they do than good luck to them. It will be ok, I have said many times that the SEOAL will carry on but will definatley look different down the road and maybe just maybe it wont exist at all and thats ok to. All of these teams wont just fol...

Re: GALLIA COUNTY RIVALRY-INSTALLMENT II

This might be a little better game than last time, it seems like RV has come alive a little and maybe is playing with some confidence. Gallipolis looked very good against Warren and if they play like that every night than they will be in most games. GO BLUE

Re: Gallipolis surprises Warren Local, 65-51

That was an excellent team win on Friday amd if anyone thinks coach Oz doesnt coach anymore than they have not been watching. This team was down and has not played well and could have come out and layed an egg but they chose to play hard. Great Win. GO BLUE

Re: GALLIA ACADEMY-RIVER VALLEY @ URG 12/30

I think I would rather see this game at both high schools as well but Rio is definatley more comfortable. The Devils played a good Portsmouth team very strong and seems to be coming together a little bit. i think coach Oz likes these kinds of teams where they have to play together and depend on each...

Re: Athens @ Gallia Academy 12-13

I truly beleive that the technical on coach Paul Mcneal was a bad call, at least the first one but I think he felt so fired up about the first one that he got a little to excited arguing with the ref and got his second. That official in the first half probably made 3 times as many calls as the other...

Re: gahs frosh beat pt pleasant

This was a good team win for the young freshman. Brice Amos was dominating and the devil defense was very good as well.Coach Atkins has this group playing as a team and everyone contributes. Bryant Bokovitz had a nice game and Nick Saunders had some good shots. Drew Young helped out on the boards wi...

Re: GAHS Freshmen- 46 Logan- 42

Nice win to get the season started, I am confident that these boys will get better because of the coaching of coach Atkins. He used his bench very well and gave his players a break when they needed one. They will definatley have to keep better care of the ball and make the easy baskets. What a great...

This thread is full of straight shooters, sugar coaters and cheer leaders. I would love to see one of the strait shooters give Gallipolis a nice comment and also love to see one of the sugar coaters complain on just one thing. I know both of you guys and it is easy to do fellows just give it a try a...

Re: SEOAL????

Gallipolis has a chance to be just as strong as last year and with a little help from underclassmen maybe even better. Amy Noe on the mound will be tough and Britan Saunders should have another banner year. That girl can pound the ball and is a weapon on defense because she is an excellent infeilder...
